Ok so I was reading up on the 2.4 vs. the 2.7 and porting and everything and the general consensus I gathered was that it’s cheaper and more efficient to port a 2.4 than to buy a 2.7 and or port it. My question is for making reliable power.

on the 2.4 call it ported or not you have to overdrive it to flow big air vs the 2.7 that can move more air just due to larger capacity. For longevity of the super charger would The 2.7 not have to spin as hard in order to make the same power as an over driven 2.4? I hope this makes sense and doesn’t come off as a random blurb

Stress on rotating things, like bearings, is often a function of the RPM squared. If the 2.7 were to turn 2.4/2.7ths of the RPM of the 2.4 to gain the same airflow, that one thing would be lower. Why not just go with an aftermarket setup? They all boast of greater power production than the stockers.

Ease of plug and play and everyone offloading stockers for aftermarket. I’m not looking to do it per se but those are two reasons I could see someone going this route. Would you have to port a 2.7 to make the same flow as a ported 2.4 or would a ported 2.4 be close to a stock 2.7?
