I thought I saw somewhere that these cars can be remote-started with a phone app (as well as the key fob). I am still awaiting my Charger so have nothing at hand to reference. Is this correct? If so, it is required that the car have the optional Internet option activated?

This is a feature of the uconnect app. Tammie can confirm for sure, but I've read multiple times this vehicle, as well as a few other of Dodge's latest vehicles can do this.

It's a dodge app,, it works with your smart phone, and you pair with your car, it's kinda like on star,, just not as fast.. also has Pandora, and a few other things on it..

The UConnect service, called UConnect Access Advantage and Mobile, are included in the purchase of the Hellcat. It requires you to register an account online, however, it is only a 6 month trial period specifically for the UConnect Access Advantage Plan. Then you have to pay a subscription of $14.99 per month there after. For UConnect Access Mobile, it just uses your phones data plan to update internet radio apps that work with UConnect (don't forget to disable this feature in the UConnect Mobile App if you don't want to eat up your data plan).

This is all to say, the Remote Start feature by using your phone is free for 6 months, then you have to pay $14.99 per month, or just use the remote start button on your key. Below is a snapshot of all that is offered in each package.

That would be nice if the have changed it from 6 to 12 months now. All of the Window Stickers are showing 6 month.

One of the largest advantages I see is the Anti-Theft and Vehicle Finder features of UConnect access.

I've had this system on diesel JGC for a year. It really is nice t be able to start my car from work and walk out to a pre-warmed car!

My HC is an M6 so I don't get the remote start options. However I will keep the service for the voice texting. Its so nice to hear texts read to me and then be able to dictate and send a response while driving.

Come to think of it, does anyone know a good phone mount system for the challenger? The Proclip system for my JGC is spectacular (vent mount next to steering wheel). Their offering for the challenger just wont work for me.

On that note, I don't think you can remote start a stick shift for the obvious reason that you have to press the clutch, can you? Would be nice. I had a remote start put in one of my stick shift cars. Probably not the smart thing to do but as long as you leave it in neutral you're fine. Never had a problem in 5 years of using it. Just saying before someone says that it's unsafe, and it probably is on stickshifts but you have to be conscious of leaving it in neutral.

U connect app downloaded to phone and then register ( I did mine by phone in the car with "help" ) then open the app and you can Wow the neighbors! Also play Pandora etc thru the car. Pretty cool!

So the mobile app is great if you have a sublime Challenger, What about us that have a red car, There is no way of changing the color, Sucks

Matt how does the voice texting work? I haven't used that yet?
