Ok all I have all my parts ready to install. Once finished I will have Curt handle the remote tuning. For those that have done it remote how long between uploads and communication back & forth did it take? I have access to a dyno but it will cost me $250hr. Other option is in 🇲🇽 where I have a few open long farm roads. Is dyno better or street. The shop where I can rent has said he's seen remote tuning done in an hour and take as long as 8, sometimes more. Hasn't had experience with dusterhauff or others in the mopar world doing remote tunes. They primarily deal with mustang tuners when remote. The shop is familliar with Mopar but primarily the LS stuff. I'd have them tune it but I want the flex. It will be flex tune with a 2.85 and a straight pump E tune with a 2.65. Not sure what I should do here. Let me know your thoughts.

Regards,

Only your remote tuner can answer that question. If he's doing it in live time, it can be done quickly. Basically, you do a reference dyno pull, send him the data. He immediately tunes it and sends it back. You flash the tune, do another pull. Repeat until done.

The problem with remote tuning is many of them (large companies mostly) will take your data and send you a tune back in a few hours, the next day... or later in the week. Most remote tuners can just use data pulls from a WOT pull out on the street. Of course, there's some LEO risk with such things as you need to do the pull to the top of 4th gear. In a Hellcat, this would be well beyond felony infraction level :)

Find out if Curt will be able to hook up to the ECU over WiFi live. Fastest way, if not doing it on the tuners dyno with him there sitting in the seat. All that is needed is a Laptop hooked up to the ECU, he takes control of the laptop remotely and tunes the car.

He doesn't do live. It will be all email back & forth. Not sure how comfortable I am with that. It's nice to be able to communicate in real time should there be questions/concerns. It's funny how "so many people" remote tune but no one can provide solid information on how it went or their experience. Everyone says he's the best but yet have come acroos anyone willing to share their experiences. Maybe I should document everything and make a YouTube video of it.

What information are you looking for? No need to be nervous about a remote tune session and Curt is probably the best. My first hand experience goes like this. I send stock read to curt he sends me back the tune the car starts and runs perfectly, I drive car and do the pull he asks me to do he reviews the log makes a couple changes and he's done. He got the fuel trims both long term and short term spot on with the first tune he sent me. If you ask him to set aside a couple hrs for you on the day you'd like to tune you'll be done. Just use your cell phone Hot spot stick the laptop in the car and ask curt to get it all done during your time slot.

Nervous about the motor going pop as the tuner isn't watching the laptop in real time. I've heard it can take a long time as well, waiting on the back and forth emails. At least if I'm on a dyno and the tuning is live if something isn't right they could let off quickly.

Currently in the middle of a remote tuning session with HHP. I am here on some downtime as I think its after hours and the tuner (Josh) is having other life stuff to deal with. The session is bassically: Josh sent tune, I load it, we do a dyno pull to what he says, record the log and send it back to him, he reviews and sends it back. Thats it. Nothing crazy like looking at a bunch of variables in real time. The person doing the dyno just needs to know not to run the car lean in boost for too long.
My current mods are, Fic1200s, 525lph dual fuel pump, bwoody CAI, 100MM thorttle boy, 3inch cat back exhaust, 2.85upper pulley, fi interchiller blower spacer, 180 tstat.

Id say the only downside is it just takes some time in between each run to get the new tune back to do another pull. So hopefully the Dyno Shop here doesnt charge me an insane amount for only doing 3 - 4 pulls in a few hours.

All services performed at my shop that are not tuning fab or motor build related are done by contracting with skilled people I know who may not be able to make a living doing their passion which could be doing wraps, or stereos. Nothing wrong with having a categorized group of parts to easily show a customer aka a staged kit. Not everyone with high performance car spends their day online or even wants to research parts and put together their own kit to have me install which is usually a pain in the ass. My staged kits include parts that I know fit well, are quality, and deliver the performance the customer is expecting with a parts warranty.
