Any ideas or how to guides on how to remove the metal screen covers located in the front wheel wells?

One of mine has pine needles stuck inside and I'm not sure the easiest way to open them?

Looks like 4 rivet spots, I don’t think ur getting in through that way, try removing the the long plastic shield (same one u take off to gain access to the oil cooler drain bolt) then you can vacuum them out through the front side of it

This is probably the easiest way. I had to get in that area to remove a dead bird that got sucked in.

Pull those 4 push pins at the 4 corners. Pull the belly pans like you are going to chenge the oil. Also pull all the other nearby surrounding push pins and, maybe, if necessary, drill out that plastic rivet and then just pull the wheel tub with the screen back and stick your hand in there. Plastic rivet tool and rivet assortment can be bought at Harbor Freight (or the dealer for about 1000% more).

Thanks @dragrcr

You're absolutely right that is the only proper way to access it. Trust me I spent all day trying 😔

For the time being I found you can just bend the metal chicken wire and barley get your hand in there to pull out leaves. then just bend the wire back in place.

I'm going to go to harbor freight and get me a rivet setup so I can get full access next time I decide to do a full detail.

Hopefully it will be a few years as it took me a few days to get this baby clean (including undercarriage detail, polish mufflers, foam wash, then hand wax)

I'm done detailing for a while lol
