Hi everyone, my HC is 3 years old and the film on the front is ugly with lots of tiny white marks on it. I would like to take off the film to reveal the good paint under it. Is it hard to take off, and will it pull the paint off? I want to do this without those issues. Thanks all

Use a handheld steamer and heat the material up. Pull it off and it will all be good. If glue residue is left behind you can use the steamer to remove that as well.

I dont have a steamer, I guess ill need elbow grease. Thanks

I would order a cheap one from amazon. It will make the job way easier. Its not just the film you need off. Its the glue thst will be a pain in the butt. The steamer will be much cleaner.

I have some news brother, I winged it this morning after work and just started pulling. It came off with ease and no glue residual.

I think it was just clear bra, but I'm stoked ,It is like brand new under that. When I rest up I will work on the rest of it.

Yes ,I got lucky to get that color too! BTW do those window strips help with the wind? I'm looking to get them if they serve that purpose.

I had them on my T/A. I didn't have an issue with wind... but what they do well is keep the windshield washer run-off out of the damn driver's side window.

They also help vent the car in summer to let heat out and no rain in.
