Finally had enough of the stock rubber air intake tube. It would oxidize to a frosty white and was difficult to get back to black. I like to keep my engine bay clean so this was a no go for me.
Luckily I found this carbon tube from denver3d. It also weighs a fraction of what the stock tube did.

That’s a beautiful piece which compliments the engine bay 👍

I haven't noticed any increase but I've only driven the car once since installing.
Installing was very easy though. There is a how to video on the website for the product.

I Installed one of these from the same guy a couple months back. It was the best solution for me for two reasons. The first is that I am running a Nick Williams 108mm Throttle body and the factory rubber tube was a real B+++H to stretch and get on there. This carbon fiber intake comes with much thicker and larger silicone(?) couplings that fit the larger throttle body much, much better. The intake tube is much smoother and more direct for better airflow on the inside and also eliminates one of the fittings tapped into the factory tube. You retain the MAF sensor and the new tube is already fitted out for you to just plug it in like the factory location. As far as the other fitting, you are supplied a small filter that fits on the outlet located just behind the coolant reservoir. You can see it in his picture just above the silver cap and below in the picture of my engine bay. The second reason I bought it is I think it looks very nice and clean. I am a carbon fiber fan. I have a CF hood as well as trunk lid on my car, it matches those nicely. I can say after two months of running it that it is a great product. The same guy also builds 3-D printed intake tubes that claims flow even better but I wanted the glossy CF. My car already makes 950 wheel horsepower, I doubt Ill be moving up from that anytime soon.....Although I have been thinking about what would happen if I added nitrous or replaced the blower with one of the kick-ass new Whipple 3.0s...

Nice! Are you interested in selling the rubber part you took off?

I'm stuck because of the price of a tube I could get an LMI intake..lol But I do know the stock intake is literally engineered to perfection.
The LMI intake is engineered to perfection to. It also flows 12-15 % more CFMs.

I own the LMI intake on my redeye but hate the increase in intake temp but love the whine. Curious if this mod has more whine then stock setup.
Just press to use the chiller? Problem solved.
