Looking for a set of replacement Nitto NT05R’s? I’m working with the Motorsports and marketing team from Nitto Tire and we need your help. If you can send me screenshots or links to discussions about the search for replacement tires, it would help in getting a run of these tires made and available for purchase.

I was on the Nitto website and they no longer have the Nitto NT05R tire on their website. Has Nitto discontinued the tire all together or has it just been removed due to the lack of supplies? If the Nitto NT05R is discontinued what is everyone going to run on their Super Stock for the street?

I have a 2020 Challenger Hellcat Super Stock. Came with the Nitto NT05R 315/40/18 tires. They are discontinued and the closest to them is the Nitto 555R2 in the same size which are on far and away back order. Nothing else comes in that size! Thoughts on going with the Mickey Thompson EStreet...

That is correct, however they continue to make the NT05R for Dodge to put on Super Stocks and the 23 Super Bee. We are working on getting additional runs made for the aftermarket.

One of many you tube vids about tire no longer available....I contacted the ebay seller of the demon wheel just today asking if he ever gets the 20x11 redeye wheel to replace the factory SS wheels so I could get a set of tires for the street.

Many of us SS owners will be buying these on a regular bases and simply have not been posting (bitching) because we can't find a great solution. There have been about 1250 Super Stocks delivered since it's release in 20'. Add in the Demon and Super Bee and there is consumer for these.

I've had lengthy conversations with the team from Nitto about this already. Although 4500 cars isn't much of a market for a tire company that struggles to keep up with production due to high popularity (especially in the offroad market) to dedicate valuable manufacturing time, the team there is committed to capture and hold onto this small group of enthusiasts. The marketing team feels we are worth hanging onto which is a good thing for us.

I will keep everyone updated as I hear more.

Thanks for working it Bill. One thing to think about - how many Demons are still on their original tires.

I would like to try the older and newer tires. I bought an extra set of wheels so I can try out different ones.

While I'm not blaming dodge directly, continuing to manufacture cars with a tire that no longer exists doesn't scream "I care about my customers".

So I checked today and my Summit order for the G2 tires has pushed back expected delivery to 12/20/21. They might as well just be realistic and cancel it completely....

Here is another one Bill. This is the reason why I purchased the wheels from you. They look great by the way. It is a shitty feeling to have to go and buy 20" rims just so you can put tires on your car though. It also removes the only visually identifiable thing on the car that says its a super stock and not a redeye.
