I've been reading a few isolated posts on some "glitches" and build quality issues around the forum. I thought it might be worthwhile to start a thread so we can all share our experiences both good and not so good.

I never drive in eco mode, but put in one prior to going in for the free oil change. Picked up my 22 and it was still in eco, I forgot went down the road to the drive thru to grab lunch. Oil temp got into the low 200`s and the coolant got up to 231. Never happened before. At the same time, car thought I a;l of a sudden had a blinker out as it would do the pony skip sound when either blinker was on, but I could clearly that the blinkers both worked fine on the outside. Brought back and was eventually told that the coolant system has some type of reduced setting it goes into in eco mode. Very odd to, never ever heard that, as well as the blinker issue, that went away on its own.

2022 REWB Challenger. Being 2022 and all I expected some build quality issues and there were none. All has been perfect. Paint and body perfect. Entertainment screen did freeze after leaving doors open for about an hour installing rear seat delete. Held the power button in until it reset and after that no issues. Now my 2021 Explorer St is different. Has a few fit and finish issues that seem to be related to poor quality control.

I checked out and even test drove a 22 Hellcat Charger. No issues at all.
The dealership only let me test drive the Hellcat because I know the sales manager. And I already bought a couple cars from them.
Most dealerships don’t let people even test drive Hellcats. At least until they do a credit check and know you’re serious about buying.

Edit: I have heard of a couple Chargers with quality issues.

picked up my cat a month ago, brand new order. there were three minor build quality issues. not enough to make me not take the order, but enough to notice. first was a dime-sized dent on the driver side rear quarter panel. dealership paid for me to get it removed. second was an imperfection on the plastic on the inside driver side door. last was a slight chip on the left side tailight. i had the lights tinted so it’s covered but you can still see the imperfection

The only "problem" I found on my 2022 Challenger HC was the hood alignment being set 3/8" too low at the hinges. Easy adjustment to get it level with the fenders at the A-Pillars. Other than that, no visual imperfections. Had the car since March but only has 50 total miles on it, need to make time to drive it.

My hood and decklid need a slight adjustment, not a real priority as I have not done the adj yet.

Question for the RE owners: When I come home (after mild 35mph driving) and let it idle in the drive while I run into the house to deactivate the alarm on the detached garage, the aux fan comes on, then goes onto high even though it was less than 2min and 70deg. My M6 never did that. I don't think the aux fan has ever come on in the M6 even after 173mph runs.

Is this normal on the RE?

My fan comes on often and is quite loud. It came on idling in my driveway today after a cold start, block still cold. I think because of the AC.

Hope this problem is isolated maybe just to my bad luck! 2021 WB Hellcat Charger with only 4700 miles on it, had loud noise after cold start ups (sounds almost like seat belt alarm on constant) then would go off a few seconds after start up. Then as time went on it went to staying on quite awhile like 5 minutes or so before going off, No CEL codes were ever generated! Dealer found the sound coming from under rear seat. Discovered Fuel Pump bad. Replaced fuel pump noise was gone, but when starting up it kept turning over for quite awhile before it would start. Dealer examined car found other half or unit of fuel pump was bad by holding pressure to feed fuel properly.( Could not drive car until the part came in for that half took FOREVER TO GET PART over a month!) Replaced other half of slave part in addition to replacing original fuel pump and solved issue! Reason it kept turning over was due to pressure loss from bad slave unit. If any one has the issue have entire fuel pump parts replaced both main pump and slave pump at same time.

My 22 Challenger HC RE hangs in 1st gear too long before abruptly shifting to 2nd when not sufficiently warmed up. This is with Trans in Sport mode. My 17 never did this. To combat it I wait until it's fully warmed up before I switch to my normal (Custom setting) Trans Sport mode. It's still not as smooth from 1st to 2nd as my 17 but much better.
Anyone else experience this?

This has been the case in both Chargers I have owned, one being a 2016 RT and my current 2022 HC REWB. In my experience, it doesn’t matter if the car is warmed up or not as the car hangs the first shift of every key cycle regardless of temp. Seems a normal ZF 8 speed characteristic as I’ve seen it mentioned many many times and I’ve never had a transmission issue.

Can be very jarring if you happen to be in sport or track mode though as it just magnifies the awkwardness of the shift. I tend to just give it some extra gas to help it push through the shift as quickly as possible since I know it’s coming. It’s always smooth as butter after that.

Interesting, thank's for the info.
I thought it might be a 22 issue.

I found that the transmission tends to linger longer in each gear in Sport mode, obviously to maximize acceleration on demand. Personally for day to day driving, I prefer the street setting for the transmission. I can get the car to do anything I want by simply manipulating my right foot at the right moment in the shifting cycle, and if I want a bit more ooomph...there are always the paddles. I always run my car with the Sport setting on the steering and suspension.

One of the screws under dashboard got loose and fell out. Started rolling back and forth and got stuck. Now it makes noise at certain revs or on bumps. So annoying and I’m afraid to give it to dealer to fix it as it may come up worse than it is …
