Can you just bring it to an inspection station, have it checked, and see what they'd like changed, if anything? There is no reason at all to remove the rear differential cradle. It only improves the car and does nothing to hurt safety or emissions but saves the rear diff from moving excessively with torque.
The exhaust has a muffler somewhere behind the catalysts, if I remember correctly, plus a resonator just before the tailpipe exits, with an electronic valve to reduce noise just ahead of the rear mufflers/resonator things.
Also, congrats on grabbing the car you actually wanted. Like marrying a supermodel, you will find a way to overcome any problems associated with it.
