I'm considering buying another challenger, I previously had a '15 v6 that I loved driving, and appreciated the ~30 MPG highway that I got with it. I now have my eye on a '20 REWB, and while I know I would LOVE the power, I am curious how the experience is road tripping in one of these bad boys? I searched the forum and found several threads on regular HC's, but would like some input from the RE community.

IF these are driven easy at ~65 MPH, what kind of highway mileage do you get? Bonus points for actual calculated at the pump numbers. How is the ride?

(I make a 1000 mile each way trip a couple times a year across MN, WI, and northern MI to visit family. Would be nice to drive this one once in a while instead of the minivan. In the summer of course... LOL)

Thanks!

Do it! Now! Better yet, order a 22 new now! Clock it ticking!

The gas mileage in the A8 is amazing! Extremely comfortable! There is some exhaust noise bit when you pack the trunk with soft bags and dog bed, it is very pleasant. End of story!

Drove my Redeye from Boston to Dallas. Comfortable ride that turned a lot of heads. If you don’t have PPF, just use blue painters tape. Works amazingly well.

If you are going to be doing a lot of highway, recommend the zl1 rock guards. Wide bodies are known to kick up tons of rocks and destroy your rockers. Narrow bodies don’t have this issue.

PPF on the front end would be advisable as well.

I just picked up my new RE (not WB) in east TX and drove it home to southern OR. The cluster says I averaged 23.7 mpg. The first 1000 miles were break in miles but once I got north of Las Vegas in the middle of nowhere I did stretch her legs.

Most thrilling moment:
I was behind 2 trucks and a car doing 63mph. When my opportunity to pass arose I moved left and floored it. When I reached the front of the lead truck the speedometer read 115.

Scariest moment:
The first 100 miles doing 55 through Texas. Everybody hated me.
