I use simonize wheel cleaner on cold wheel. spray off then use leave blower to dry. never touch wheels with cloth or brush.

I use Orange Degreaser...1 part degreaser and 3 parts water in one of those pump sprayers. Safe on the wheels and cleans everything including tire dressing. My only advice is to clean them in the shade and don't let any cleaner, including the degreaser, dry on the wheel.

It's also safe for those who have their wheels coated with CQuartz, like myself.
