Takes me back to my childhood. Every time I’m in the car I remember growing up being carted around by my late pops in his big block 74 roadrunner in the exact same color combo. 400ci with headmann headers and thrush mufflers with turn downs under the front seats. No cats. Thing rattled windows. I’m holding off on the mid muffler delete but I feel it coming for the raw idle. The sound and way she pulls over 1g is hard to beat.

I sold my ‘70 340 duster 4 sp car to buy a ‘71 340 Cuda (in 1980). I really wanted a shaker w a 426 but was only 18 and not rich. Wanted one ever since. The more money I made the more crazy the prices got. I didn’t want a ‘70 and the 71’s got ridiculously expensive. When Chrysler brought back the challenger I was drag racing bikes competitively and didn’t care what I chased parts in. But I kept hoping they would release a shaker cuda. It became apparent that that was prolly never gonna happen. Last year I bought this shaker at just about the worst possible time one could buy a used car. No, it’s not a hellcat. I didn’t want a hellcat. I didn’t really want a challenger either (love my Plymouths) but this is as close as I will ever get to the car I have wanted for over 40 years. Sell it? Nfw

Favorite road cruiser, and a blast at HPDE events. I like my Redeye, and without a nearly impossible Jailbreak, it cannot be duplicated. Yes, in ‘19 it was a one of one also. With its suspension upgrades it really is one of one and a beautiful unit.
