Service manual mentions using a scan tool to put car in a different mode to add trans fluid. Seems like overkill to me but I was just wondering.

The dealership uses such a tool and remember the transmission system (no dip stick) is sealed so no way to measure capacity. At least not for owners.

WiTech and WiTech 2.0. Great software/tools, but unless you're a dealer, they are very expensive.
