So I'm racing this boat for 35-45 seconds, sit for 5 min, run again, sit etc... for 6 timed course laps. The limited season P Zeros are doing better than expected though.

Looking for a tire to street and solo. Most recommendations have been the Falkens but they don't come in boat size 305 or 315 20's.
Michelin sport cups are over 2k a set and mileage seems to be under 6k.

Any thoughts or recommendations would be great.

Michelin PS4S. Best tires in the world. 10 bucks says you can't tell the difference between them and the Cup 2s. Easily double the mileage.

Is this your daily driver?

I run my 911 in Solo SMX or SM 2 depending on the region, I run Hoosiers most of the time occasionally Kumos. I will run them on the street but it only sees the street maybe 15 times a year.

My wife runs the Michelin PS4S on our Mustang and like Xylander said they are great tires that is her daily in the summer and when she does not feel like running the 911 for Solo she will run the Mustang I will just lower the pressures and adjust the shocks and she is good to go. They are also not bad in the rain.

I would look into the same tires the ZL1 uses, the Goodyear Supercar 3 tires. They are an excellent street/track tire and they will easily outperform any street tires available including the Michelin PS4S. Their only flaw is that they are just average in the rain and they need some heat to perform at their best. Not a problem unless you're trying to race with them in 50 degree or less weather.

It is not, just weekend stuff. I run CAM C but not serious enough to actually change wheels and tires out.
I appreciate the help, may dive into the Mich soon. 1st points run is May 1st will see how the stockers do.

Yea. With solo racing you need a "fast to hot" tire. Apparently the Falken is good for that. Several big cars are running them but they don't come big enough for my car. Hell the course is barely wider than my car lol.

Look into the Supercar 3s, they are an extremely capable track tire and they're reasonably priced since they come standard on the ZL1.

Simply put the options for wide 20" diameter spec autocross tires doesn't exist yet. Your only options are to go to 19" diameter wheels, shorter road race tire, or run a drag radial. I would suggest looking at something like the NT01 or the NT555RII.

That said the P Zero summers are a good tire.

None of those are going to perform like the Goodyear F1 Supercar 3 tire though for his purpose. It truly is a track tire for the street. Its shortcomings are that its average in the rain, it needs heat so its traction limited below 50F, and they're only good for about 10-12K miles.

He said fast to temp. I've been autocrossing my whole adult life and short sidewall drag radials will work. Tire rollover onto the shoulders (extended contact patch) is advantageous to a larger/heavier vehicle and DRs can accommodate that. Chalk the sidewalls and tune with tire pressure.

When talking about factory 20s:

The F1 3s are not going to get sticky enough quick enough with a 220 UTQG in a 45 second run. The Nittos offer a 100 UTQG and will. Both have trade offs. The NT01s are short (with no wider options) and don't shed water well. The NT555RIIs are available in wider sizes, stock height, and have a fair water shedding ability when new - but may trade off some stability due to sidewall characteristics.

I just ordered a set of 315/35R20 NT555RIIs so I guess we'll see how they perform. Here is my car on the stock P Zero Summers (280 UTQG):

But, as I stated dropping wheel sizes opens up a world of opportunities not afforded to the factory 20x11s. Everything is a compromise.

Love the telemetry what system is that? I'm using the M1 on my radar detector but it's only video.
Appreciate the additional out of the box thinking. Never considered a DR.

Utog ratings are a subjective manufacturer specific "rating" not standardized across different makes...There is this magic rating of 200 that allows the tire to be used in spec racing...one man's 200 is anothers 100 so to speak..The NTO1's are a very good hpde or road circuit tire and run wider than other tires in the same size...

RaceRender via HPTuners.

The Demon and Super Stock are great handling cars on stock NT05Rs. Anyone who claims otherwise is full of bias, misconceptions, or plain BS.

Back in the day Syclones and Typhoons autocrossed on first generation BFG DRs because they offered such a significant performance advantage over conventional performance street tires.

Like I said: spec autocross tire. Where 200 UTQG is just a number on the sidewall for a treaded cheater slick. Some of these tires get banned from certain clubs/series for providing an unfair advantage - which is not in the spirit of grassroots motorsports.

But, they aren't part of this discussion due to their extremely short life span and dangerous nature on the street.

Do some research on the F1 SC3s, they are one of the best track tires you can buy for street use. A large majority of ZL1 owners track their cars with these tires and they work wonderfully, some guys have tried R888Rs and other road racing tires and still come back to the F1 SC3 for a tire that can be tracked and still driven on the street. I understand the UTQG rating but they're already VERY sticky even cold as long as the temps are not below 50F. They're really impressive, I recommend you try a set sometime, I think you'll be surprised. I've seen these tires compared to a number of top street and track tires in tire tests and they typically come out on top or near the top for track use. There is a F1 SC3R also which comes standard on the track focused ZL1 1LE model but those are a little more finicky about temps, they really have to be brought up to temps to perform best but they are stickier than the F1 SC3 when warmed up properly. I do agree with you though that the 555R2s are really impressive for a drag radial and have very good handling characteristics for a drag radial but I honestly don't see them doing as well as the F1 SC3 in cornering which some of the ZL1 guys have confirmed.

I hope everyone is enjoying the spirited discussion and not offended by anyone's response.
I do need some longevity, street time, trips to Deals Gap area, true road courses, and solo runs. I can live with 10-12k but not 3-6k.
