Scratched Paint from the factory. UNACCEPTABLE!!!

UNACCEPTABLE!!! I was detailing my car the other day and I was obviously looking for any defects - especially paint defects since there seems to be a lot of complaints from forum members.

Well I found a doozy and I am NOT HAPPY!. I found this scratched valve cover and it wasnt hard to miss. It sticks out like a sore thumb. How could this have gotten by their inspectors.

Ok, so its obviously there and I didnt do it. SO I brought the car back to the dealer to see if they could give me a new engine and the service manager said NO!

[email protected]!!!! I paid $70,000 for a car and they think this kind of defect is acceptable?

Well I lost it and demanded they replace the motor ASAP but the manager just LAUGHED AT ME! He said they could respray the cover with RATTLE CAN PAINT!!!

Are you kidding me? RATTLE CAN PAINT? This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.

So I opened a claim with Chrysler. Either replace the engine or give me my money back. No Way am I going to live with a rattle can spray paint job! NO WAY!

Take a look at the damage. Its so obvious I cant believe this passed inspection. I am too embarrassed to even open my hood. Whatcha all think?

That is great news, R.K., Please keep us updated, and pictures when you get it back. I hope that it turns out flawless!

sadly my request for a new car and engine was denied. So I spray painted the entire engine compartment black to hide that hideous defect. I was gonna try to buff it out but the knob on my buffer was missing

I would have made lemonade with the car. That car just ain't right I tell ya.
Serves you right. After all that ranting and raving about incorrect door sills...

If you knew anything about cars, you would know those were correct. The passenger side one allows your passengers to read what kind of car they are about to get into. And the driver's side one allows you to read what kind of car it was you just finished driving.
Why are you still beating this drum? You need to get over it and let it go.

I can't, it's like an addiction. I just can't shake it. When this thread got resurrected I had a flashback. A flashback to the glory days of free speech, and funny and edgy threads. Now it's all tire pressure, ET's and catch cans.

Do not misunderstand, I am not inviting anyone to leave the forum, however, if you find this place so boring, then why do you keep returning? Judging simply by the majority of the posts you have contributed to the forum over the last couple weeks, one could easily jump to the conclusion that your posts serve the sole purpose of trying to cause trouble. If I am mistaken, then feel free to prove me wrong, otherwise stop beating a dead horse, and again, let it go. If you need to discuss the situation further, please PM either WERA689, SRT_HC_707, or me because the snarky comments are confusing to the new members that are not aware of what happened 10 months ago. Have a nice day.

How is that catch can mounted? and Do you need it to be refrigerated for it to work? I might get one since it would distract me from the hideous scratch that DODGE REFUSED TO COVER UNDER WARRANTY!!!:mad::mad::mad:

Speaking of scratches, my detailer that is installing film and coating spotted some pretty deep ones in the paint that the dealer masked with filler wax.
;)

Since the car was made in Ontario, I would go with Labat Blue....or Blue Light.

LOL
