I have a 2016 Hellcat and the power train warranty has expired. Any reason I should get a second PCM and have it unlocked and keep my stock PCM in tact? I get it if you have warranty left, but seeing as mine is over is there any perceived benefit in a second PCM? I've gone back and forth on this and at this point I don't see any good reason to get a second PCM. Any thoughts?

Depending on the laws in the state you live in, (California) smog inspections will now be looking for non factory PCM programs running on cars and deeming them as a fail.

I'm lucky there, Ohio only checks for fault codes. And they are talking about getting rid of emissions checks as they only do it in 7 counties. Unfortunately I happen to be in on of them! Figures
My husband had bought a second PCM back in 2015 and it is still here in the bix.
Deciding who you will use for Tuning will be important.
It is important to use an experienced Hemi/Hellcat Tuner.
