Has anyone heard more about the "Double Verification" second level security system offered for HI-PO Charger & Challenger 392 & 6.2 engines? Was announced on March 2021 for role out in June by going to Dodge dealership to have a four-digit security code flashed into the computer of Dodge muscle cars. Without four-digit code, engine limited to 3 horsepower at 675 rpm. The new feature can be accessed in Dodge Uconnect 4C infotainment system.

It's been delayed until late fall. There was a Yahoo article published last Friday that speculates Stellantis doesn't have a real theft deterent solution at all.

Just caught tail end on thread. I already have valet mode code set supposedly limits 45mph. Is this something new on top of what we have?

There is no 45 mph limit on Valet, where did you hear that?

Valet limits HP to about 300 so can go way faster than 45.

And yes, the new security mode will be in addition to Valet and in that mode, the car will only move at about idle speed.
