I haven't seen anything recent, so thought that I'd ask. What years are they doing now? The last I read was 2020's? Secondly, in use are they worth the effort? I have to go to the dealer soon, and mine didn't hear of it until I told them myself. Thanks.

The original articles said 2021 available soon (available now) and then a new model year update going backwards every year to 2015 will be released approximately every 6 weeks but have not seen anything posted after that.

I honestly would hold off, I have read multiple people throwing a P050B code upon cold start up with the security update on. This happened to me and they replaced my throttle body. I wish I had never had them install the update.
I agree. I was on a business trip in Huntsville, AL, about 8 hours from home. Woke up to a cold 36 degrees outside, started my Charger, and threw the code. Reset it at the local O'Reilly's and it hasn't happened again. Plus, this new security mode completely wipes out the old valet mode.

You may be fortunate owning a 2015. Hopefully by the time they schedule updates for the 2015 model year, they'll have all of the bugs fixed.

My 2021 Redeye was flashed to 68595087AA (Advanced Security) and the old valet mode wasn't wiped out.

Beware of the new enhanced valet mode update, I've been dealing with a check engine light ( P050B ) for a few weeks now. I finally figured it out. I posted the results in this thread below

Wonder if they got it straightened out by now, it's coming standard on all the 2022's.

So if you activate Valet Mode with your PIN what happens?

When I activate Valet Mode, it is normal Valet Mode that is activated. It's not limited to 3HP. I wrote FCA (Stellantis) about this and got these replies:

The new enhancement security flash your referring to will reduce the power to 3 hp; if the vehicle is stolen;

Stellantis, (formally FCA)

Im thinking there is no way to experience the 2.8 hp if you have and use actually key fobik. The system is supposed to activate if the vehicle is stolen, so with your 4 digit code, it may activate the "valet mode," but if its stolen, the 2.8 hp (limp mode) activates instead.

No, once you activate it, no matter how you start the car its at under 3 hp. If you still have valet mode your car doesn't have the security update. It replaces valet mode. Now you can turn it on and off without the car running and that should keep you from potentially throwing a P050B code....but why take the risk. Took a couple weeks of not driving waiting for a throttle body that I probably didn't even need. I would not have it installed on my car until I was sure that they had it fixed, and I will not be using mine since its already installed until then either.

The 2022 cars will have this as standard equipment, they better get these issues straightened out.

Mine does have the update. I watched them load it in. Paperwork states "2707 Flashed RFH to 68595087AA for advanced security per TSB"
