So I don't think this needs to be in any specific Challenger thread but since I'm waiting on my Redeye I figured I'd put it here. I have had this photo for Lord knows how long, but I love how sleek just that small change makes her look. Has anyone done this or have any experience with the various methods this is done? I have watched basically what there is on YouTube but it doesn't speak to their daily drivable experience with it. Thank you in advance.

I knew a guy from back in my C5 days who did it. He did all his own work in a barn. His car was beautiful. You need a door popper kit (popular in the hot rod world) and a good bondo guy.

His fuel door is gone too. Relocated to the door jam. You could walk around his car 5 times and each time you would notice something else. It was a convertible, but he built his own hardtop with removable targa panel. All out of O.E. parts.
Woah what?! That's wild. I didn't know that. Nor would I go that far.

Because of the body and paint work required. And ultimately I always end up liking a mostly stock look. It’s a cool novelty I just wouldn’t want it. Plus, the older I get, the more likely I’d probably stand there looking at that shit for 10 minutes in the morning wondering how the f^*k to get in it.

That's hilarious and thank God I'm not there yet. I have also contemplated removing the driver side mirror for nostalgia sake. Use the cf plug from the 6 month old "reveal" of the drag pak.

It’s a lot of work. As a former bodyman I am fully capable of doing this myself, but I’m still not sure the end justifies the means. It would also depend on color for me. Even with proper blending techniques, some of these heavy metallic colors are very difficult to match. Think Sinamon…

I wanted Redline red since I got my 2017 Hellcat. I went with torred. No metal flake.

Remember those words! You’ll get “there“ in a snap of the fingers, so enjoy NOW every day! Seems like a couple years ago I was taking delivery of my 1985 IROC-Z. Yeah, only 37 frickin years ago!! Also, keep every damn mirror you’ve got. You’re gonna need them and then some the closer you get to geezer trim yourself 🤪
