Thanks Matt
I had my '22 shipped from Koons to S. Florida in March, 2022. Had it shipped Enclosed Carrier by a company called "Millionaire Auto Transport" (347) 909-6941 ([email protected]). Overall satisfied with their service, they documented the (new) condition of the car with 12 photos and 1 video walkaround. Arrived same as it left Koons with no damage and 14 miles on the odometer.

How many days did it take them to deliver it?

Be advised, that most, if not all "shippers" do not do any "shipping" at all. They are "brokers" and use a large network of private "shippers". You will not know who the actual shipper is until he shows up, and if there is a problem it is between you and the shipper, not the broker. The broker may try to help you if there is a problem, but it is technically not the broker's problem. The best you can hope for is that a reputable broker will not place you with a bad shipper. Any claims are with the shipper and his insurance, the broker is not responsible.

Based on this, I drove it home.

That’s why i said go straight to the truck owners. Possibly Cheaper and they aren’t being the broker unless it’s not their typical route.

montway is a broker. I like montway for my cheaper cars as they hold the money until you are satisfied with the shipment, prior to them releasing it to the trucker, even after delivery. But then again, this was several years ago, not sure if they still operate this way.

Also, ask the shippers about their insurance coverage.

Going straight to the truck owners, as you mentioned, can often be cheaper and more direct, with less hassle from brokers. However, it can be tough to find reliable truck owners who operate on your specific route.
I've had some experience with hiring a vehicle shipping service, and I can definitely recommend doing some research and requesting quotes from many companies.
As far as I know, reputable car shipping companies hold the money until you're satisfied with the shipment, which is a nice added level of protection. One thing to keep in mind is insurance coverage. It's important to ask the shippers about their coverage and ensure it's adequate for your needs.

I usually use uShip. The Online Shipping Marketplace

Bear in mind that uShip is more or less uber for car delivery. You post the job request and you'll get a number of offers from different private shippers. You get the opportunity to evaluate each offer and research the shipper, negotiate the delivery and transport terms. Once you agree, then you schedule pickup/delivery. I used them last a couple years ago and shipped a 64 TBird from NW FL to Charleston SC for $780 in an enclosed trailer.
