2020 HC Challenger, just turned 13,000 miles yesterday. White Knuckle, no stripes or blackout. Mostly a garage Queen. The paint is absolutely Flawless, not even a door ding. I always do hand washing myself. Don't know a whole lot about ceramic coating, should I get it done to this car? I want it to look as good as it does now, years from now. Right now she is sitting in the garage with a cover on it. Thanks!

Best Investment. I have Fireball USA. This coating is a tough coating, protects against rock chips and makes washing so easy.
Your installer did you a disservice and lied to you. No coating prevents rock chips, scratches or swirls. A coating is is about 1 MICRON thick, it can't even prevent etching from bird and bug guts. Coating will make your car easier to clean, and look better longer. Ease of maintenance is the beauty of coatings.

We recently had a good friend paint correct and ceramic coat (Gtechniq- 3 layer) our 2021 Tahoe. The time is in the paint prep. We finished on Sunday and it rained 3 days straight. After driving it each day, my wife asked me if I had wiped it down it looked so good. So yes it tremendously helps with keeping a vehicle clean but is not bullet proof as said above (still scratches, still chips).

My car was done prior to purchase on my HCWBRE and I love it. So easy to clean and maintain. Highly recommend. I am having my 1993 Pontiac Firehawk done now as we speak. The results should be outstanding.

I had my car done by a high end professional shop. The results are outstanding. I do have to take it in though for yearly maintenance. The key is in the paint correction. I gave them my car brand new and though it looked perfect it needed paint correction. I had the wheels done as well. This is a big difference when it comes to cleaning them. Although it wasnt cheap I am happy i did it now. As someone stated earlier it wont guard against chips. Ypu need PPF for that. if i were to do it again i would get PPF on the front

While low milers, my cars are road cars. Either the Southwest with lots of sand and some unpaved, or Florida with lots of insects. Got them both Gtechniq Ceramic, and added a chafe free Novistretch bug screen to both. They seem to be effective and reasonable precautions fo the intended use.
