Don't have much knowledge or experience of ceramic coating.
Bought a used 2020 HC with under 12K miles. Bone stock and basically flawless. White Kunkle with no blackout stripes.
It does have a Mopar sticker on the lower right side windshield that states: 'Appearance Package'.
Think that may have been a treatment at the dealer... probably just a wax job.

Need your help guys & gals... should I invest in a professional, well done ceramic coating treatment?
She is basically a garage queen, driven only in good weather (although, I do live in Sonoma County, Northern CA).
Drive her maybe once a week & she has a quality car cover on even in the garage. Such a beautiful machine, I want
to keep it as new looking for as long as possible.
Thoughts?

Thanks!!

Is it really that easy? I thought I was a special process. Maybe just something else to rip you off, huh?
Of course, it must be a ripoff. Products like CMX are nowhere near as durable as the professional products. You can spray on CMX and repeat every month as opposed to professional products like Modesta, which is supposed to last 7 years.

If you are wanting to keep your car looking clean all the time with very minimal effort, ceramic coating is definitely worth the money.

Results are in the prep work so do your research before you pick a place.

I'm a fan of Nasiol products. Especially the NL272. It consistently rates high for both shine and protection against scratching. Seems to be a consensus that it is a bit more work to apply correctly though.

decide what you want. You can use spray on stuff or do it yourself and it will be easier but the paint wont look its best. the difference in having it professionally done is they do paint correction which makes a HUGE difference. Having said that, you may not see as big a diff in white as black but its worth a conversation with a reputable shop to find out cost and condition of your paint.

I bought a TorRed 15 HC used with 10,000 miles on it and it looked good but after having it paint corrected and coated, the difference was incredible. The car was a mirror and easy to take care of. It was worth the $1300. I had my DG 1320 done as well. No regrets. YMMV

I did ceramic (Cquartz finest reserve) on my Black redeye for two reasons= 1st ease of cleaning I drive to the car was spray the car off and use a hand held blower to dry it. 2nd the less you touch your paint the less scratches you will have especially on black!
The entire car is done and everything including wheels the dirt comes right off without touching that makes it worth it too me.

Thanks for all the replies. Currently, the paint looks basically flawless; no swirls or even minor scratching. Just wanted to keep it looking as best it can and even better. Good point about white maybe not showing as much improvement as black. I do like the idea of eaiser washing. Looks like my best bet is to take it to a reputable shop and have them check it out and we can make a decision together. Thanks again.

I‘ve never used ceramic coating before, but can’t see how it is worth the price and what protection does it really provide Above a good wax job. I’ve been using McGuires car cleaner wax for decades at $7.50 a bottle. Keeps Paint flawless when used twice a year,

True, can't forget about the classic good wax job. Now I am wondering if I choose to get the ceramic coating applied, will the car still ever need a wax job? It is garaged with a cover and barely driven 100 miles per month.
No wax job needed for whatever period of time the manufacturer of the products warranties it. Usually 3, 5, 7 or 9 years. Especially being kept in a garage and rarely driven. If applied properly and under those conditions, the coating should last as long or longer than the warranty.

put it under LED lighting, you may see differently. LED shows every imperfection there is. Next time you gas up at night and the station has LED lighting you will be appalled.

I do admit I apply CMX all the time especially on the leading edge of the car which helps with bugs, debris and so far no rock chips or swirl marks @ 3500 miles but for $1600 I can buy a lot of CMX or pay “professionals” too apply whatever they apply. I rather do it myself, I've heard too many horror stories.

As Why2kmax said put a led on your paint. Everyone that thinks wiping their car all the time is not causing fine scratches is in for a rude awaking if they acutely look hard enough. I have learned oner the years with dozens of black cars the more you touch the more you damage regardless of the towel.
