I have been bracket racing my Demon since 2018 and always ran the car in 808 hp pump gas mode with marginal success but last week I tried competing with the car in 500 hp mode mainly because my Mickey Thompson et street drag radials are worn out and they seem to be back ordered, anyway I made it all the way to the final round and won it. Car was almost 2 seconds slower in the 1/8 mile (we run eighth mile at Portland international raceway) but it made the car way more consistent, and in bracket racing that’s what gets you in the final rounds. On a semi hot and humid day (mid-80’s) car ran 8.062 in the eighth mile with a 1.792 sixty foot. In 808 hp mode I usually have a 1.41 sixty foot but car never ran the same E.T. So by slowing the car down it made me way more consistent and competitive. I’m still on a high from winning last week just thought I’d share my experience.

Glad to hear someone actually using theirs as it was intended. Tired of seeing people spend coin to sit a beauty under a bubble in a closed room.

What was the prize for the victory?

There used to buy an old guy with a stock 1991 Honda Accord who always won or at least made it to the final round of the bracket racing at wednesday night drags at Sonoma Raceway. Farthest I ever got was the final round and I lost to an old Land Cruiser who ran a 21 second 1/4 mile because I red lighted. All that waiting at the light made me too jumpy I guess. So I could have won it all except my 11 second Mustang got beat by a 21 second Land Cruiser

WTG! @Ricky Racer Congrats on the win!

My husband rented a a Charger one time for me to race in Florida at the MSHS race Hemirace.com. Another racer from Canada also rented a Charger, so we were equal and slowwwww.
Both Chargers were consistent to each other and I was lucky that day and Tree'd him. :ROFLMAO:

When you are at the 500 HP level does the Demon still kick in all the race parts. Like do you feel the suspension?
I am wondering if that is why there is more consistency?

Linda :)

The suspension still works great but the transmission can only be put in street mode. My local track (Portland international raceway) has marginal track prep and that is why I was having problems being consistent. Intercooler doesn’t get the cool air from the air conditioner in 500hp mode either.
