I have a Borla ATAK exhaust and LMI intake with a 180 thermostat in my 2020 standard body HC. I do plan a pully, injectors, etc in the future but for now just want to optimize what I have.

After lots of research I will be doing remote tuning with a HP Tuners device through Dusterhoff.
I realize that remote tuning is not as good as dyno tuning but I have been through the process before with late model Harleys and it works very well, if you are willing to put in the work.

So I am excited. Have sent my PCM to HP Tuners for an unlock and installed the "smart access cable" under the dash.
Once I get the PCM back I will copy my stock tune and send it to Dusterhoff for their magic.

I know it will not be earth shattering but having the fans adjusted for the 180 thermostat will be "cool" along with higher, stronger full throttle up shifts. Will also be ready for upgrades in the future.

Hope I don't screw this up!

Tuned in to see how things go. I'm growing more and more impatient waiting for Dodge to release their Stage 1 kit for my 15HC. As such, I'm starting to lean more towards this route as all I want is a 3.17 pulley and a decent tune. I've got a couple of parts collecting dust waiting for this so I don't have to pull the SC twice.

I was waiting for the stage one kit also. I really think there is a good chance it won't happen.
I will post results as the process goes along.

I know 3-4 guys who have the hellraiser 3.17 upper pully with no tune. Apparently no tune is required to run that pully.

However, with the new Hellraiser 3.17 pulley, Litens has come up with a way to add boost and power to your Hellcat, Redeye, Demon and Trackhawk without the unlocked PCM or even a tune. That’s right – if you have a Hellcat Hemi-powered Dodge or Jeep, you can bolt up the new Litens Hellraiser 3.17 pulley and pick up at least 25 wheel horsepower on 93 octane pump gas without touching the engine computer.

I know guys running this in ALBERTA and no one is tuned.

That may work great in Alberta but here in Quebec at almost sea level I wouldn't. Especially in spring or fall.
This is based on my logs from when the car was stock.

Varooom,

I see you have the Atak with the LMI. Can you hear your SC over the Atak? Thinking of going that route just for noise.
With the LMI blower whine is great. I can hear it fine. I think I could hear it with open headers! Exhaust sound is out the back, blower whine in front.

at sea level forcing more air into the engine will do very little. PCM timing and fueling tables will just pull timing and bleed boost depend on fuel quality, DA, load, etc.

same idea as a incognito lower pully sleeve. great for those in high altitude because it will get you back what you lost because of thin air but useless without a tune on folks at sea level.

I wish these companies would just say this upfront. I mean say it not just a one line disclaimer buried somewhere in the description. Then they would earn the consumer trust they so desperately need and not just dance around. They know that most will attempt and buy these to avoid the warranty sacrifice when in reality will be noticed right away at any dealer and if not the dealer an FCA/ stallantis rep knows what to look for in the event of a claim.

I gander that most of those affluent enough to own these cars are fairly adept at working on them and understand the "mechanics" enough to not fall for these "no tune required claims" but sadly there are still many, enough, to keep these parts flowing into the aftermarket into folks hands that install them and discover it does nothing with no tune. Tune them and you will wake the beast with these pullies. Just do it right by pinning the crank.

Jim is correct here. In 0 da these cars run out of fuel stock. I have seen it on a car I was getting ready to tune but wanted before and after logs and slips. Injector duty cycle was 99%. Adding any boost to these cars is dangerous without a tune. heck there are even a ton of logs of cars stock getting up there with knock with 93 in the tank.
Not every tuner charges a fortune for tunes. Find one you trust and doesn't charge you an arm and a leg. They are out there.
Nothing wrong with a remote tune and no dyno.

Yeah, I'm aware of the no tune option but really wanted to get a tune with the pulley change to make sure everything was as safe as possible, plus adjust for the 180 thermostat that will be going in. I'm really more interested in a good tune than the pulley but figured since I was pulling the SC off to install the IC plates I might as well go with that Dodge kit. I'm just getting a bit impatient at the moment.

Would it be possible to add the Hellraiser 3.17 pulley along with the Incognito lower sleeve pulley without tune?

I would say no. The 3.17 by itself is already pushing things.

How do you like that Borla ATAK on your car? My son and I installed one on his friend's 18 Mustang GT. It is just plain nasty when you put your foot in it. It sounds pretty mellow just cruising along at part throttle, at least in that car. Idle sounds good, too, nice loping sound. But when you step on it, it sounds like a race car.
