I ordered my Hellcat Challenger on 9/16/15. Status changed to D status and i got a VIN number on 3/27/15. When i ordered the Cat I ordered the vehicle with Black Laguna leather. After the vehicle went D status I was provided a new updated sheet. The seats were changed to Premium Leather Trimmed without my knowledge or permission. So anyone have any advice on how this can happen. The dealer said that dodge often changes custom orders without telling the buyer or dealership. Any truth to that? I've talked to the dealership and told them they need to change it back, they said that they can't. I called SRT and they told me that it can be changed but the dealership must make the change. I told them that the dealership said it can't be changed. At that point he said to call the area manager and try to have it changed. What are your thoughts on this guys and gals.

The Dealership can make the change up to D1. I got D status and VIN, changed color of car - the dealer requested it for me. May of held me up a week or so but dealer verified change and car progressed to D1. This was back in late Jan. car was built late Feb, and got it last week!

If they won't change it. Then they can discount the vehicle for the cost of the upgraded leather. I don't think you will be disappointed with the higher quality seats. Some people have complained about the standard seats.

its $1800, but the leather is really, really nice...in the long run you will be happy......i wanted the cheap, but found one loaded....happy with it.....if your paying msrp id consider it a $1800 adm, but you actually get something for it.....

i dont order cars for a reason.....i see issues over and over here on this stuff........id rather pick up a car off the showroom floor...learned this lesson in 2011 with my IE

Isn't laguna and premium the same thing? Thought standard was regular seats. Now I need to look at my order.

As far as i know there is two different seat codes one is the laguna JB (high performance laguna leather) and the other being UL (Premium Leather Trimmed Bucket Seats). So i am going to the dealership tomorrow and gonna talk to whoever i have to get this changed this is absolute bullshit that they are trying to jerk me around.

I've seen "Preimium Leather" on the dealer sites mean the regular seats (looking at the photos)... not the upgraded ones.

BOTH options are leather.... just the upgrade is the just Laguna Leather, and the standard is the Leather / Alacantara (Suede Looking) mix.

Yes, I just pulled my build sheet and mine says premium trimmed UL. I am not sure how Laguna is listed.

Laguna is shown as JB Tammie. Its on my original build sheet.
Okay, then yes if it's UL, it's the standard seats like mine. Sorry, I know very early in ordering the seats were delayed but I didn't think was an issue anymore. I would call SRT also and see what they say that way you will know from them when you talk to your dealer.

I called SRT today and they said as long as you aren't in D1 you can make changes to the car so, I'm gonna go lose my mind at the dealership until the change it or call the cops haha

Well unless you absolutely want the upgrade... I'd just make them knock off 2k for the screw up.

I ordered standard seats because I don't like sticking to smooth material (Or slipping around in it, for that matter). At least the Alacantra has some texture.

Laguna is the Optional choice for more money, hope that helps
Agreed... Laguna leather is more expensive +1800.00. Can get it in Blk or Sepia. Premium leather "trimmed" comes in BLK or Red/BLK combo. These are the std seats...also know as NAPPA leather.

They will/should reprint a current POC for you and this should match what the factory is planning on building. If you were given the cheaper/Nappa seats, this cost will automatically show on the revised POC copy and MSRP will adjust lower accordingly. Your dealer will need to call the FCA area rep on your behalf. My dealer did a change for me after ordering/mods were closed and got it done. I was in BX though. After the change, I went back to BG then back to BX one week later. Make sure that if you can do a change in VIN, that it stays in VIN....probably will...don't think it would go from VIN back to B anything.
