The "informants" put me in contact with Mr. Kuniskis. He is supposed to call me one of these days. Tammie, I've been in law enforcement for 20+ years, also did counter terrorism for the US Department of State and last but not least, I owned 4 pizzerias. You are my number one suspect. Just saying.
Whatever I'm suspected of, I have an alibi! Lol

Personally, I think they should list dealers and their allocations and then if the dealer is a D-bag and tries to jack the price, off with their allocation...
I don't know if Dodge's dealer agreements would allow them to list allocations by dealer, but that certainly would be useful information for potential customers. However, Dodge can't dictate sales prices by dealers, or punish dealers for selling above MSRP. Dodge has been creative and clever in trying to work around that prohibition with the days-on-lot for allocations, but Dodge is legally barred from setting the price between dealers and end customers.

Did not get into that specifically but I have heard there appears to be 2 systems, one for Canada another for the US. Dodge did not open allocations here till 9/9/14. Some dealers took deposits earlier, but there was no allocations for us prior to 9/9. Tim did specifically state that my dealer did have that allocation so it will be built, some dealers may never get one for 2015 model year. Sorry I don't have more for you.
considering the competition with GM and Ford, that one single thing could IMO go a LONG way toward both building morale for the loyal, as well as bringing in a good chunk of those who are also shopping the competition. most people IMO probably are leery of what vehicle salespeople tell them. to have headquarters in collusion with that via refusing to confirm or deny allocation availability just plain sucks. I've always got the sense that the main reason for that by the Big Three is to move the lesser versions of the car. I'd also suggest that those who might opt for the lesser version under the pressure of waiting for months on end with no idea if they'll for sure get their target vehicle are probably those who it's most difficult to afford the Big Dog version, which makes it even worse.

at the same time, I'd most definitely give Dodge props if they are in any way making a valid attempt to do something about exorbitant ADMs. I'm one of those who doesn't freak about a markup of perhaps $5K, but seeing $20K+ markups is obscene. we do have what's predominantly a 'free market' economy without which we might well not see anything the likes of a HELLCAT. but at some point, for example as is the case with oligopolies and monopolies, there ought to be protection of the public.

if you really got a direct call from Kuniskis that says good things about Dodge too. that surprises the hell out of me.

congrats on the impending build and thanks for the thread.

My letter to Tim:
Tim:

Sure you are getting a lot of hate mail right now about the back log on the Hell Cats so I thought maybe you could use a good email for a change of pace.

I have always been a Chevy person for trucks and a buyer of Japanese cars. I never thought highly of Dodge products after being in the military and driving K cars and listening to that weird sound of a Dodge starter turning over the engine. Well when the Challenger first came out in 2009, as soon as I saw the car, I had to have one because it made me think of my high school days and the lucky ones that had a Super Bee or 440 driving to school. I bought a 2009 SRT Challenger and kept it for three years. Driving the car made me realize that Dodge has come a long way in reliability, style, and performance.

Since the purchase of the 09 Challenger, I have now bought a Dodge Cummins 3/4 Ton truck, a Wrangler Jeep for the wife, and just recently I took delivery of a 2015 Hell Cat through Sterling Dodge here in Louisiana. This is a real shock for a guy that has always bought a Chevy truck.

The Hell Cat was ordered when the banks first opened up and I took delivery of the car in January of this year. I forgot to also mention that I bought a 2015 SRT Challenger because I thought it was going to be a long wait for the Hell Cat. lol...Three weeks later I get a call telling me the Hell Cat is on the transport truck. Jeff Cook at Sterling did a great job working with me to trade in the new SRT for the Hell Cat and he even gave me a small discount on the Hell Cat.

Well I know you are busy working on the game plan to produce more of what seems to be a block buster car for Dodge. Good luck. I'm enjoying the hell out of the Hell Cat and it was worth the wait.

Hey Harts, thanks for posting this because after reading it last week I decided to send my own Email to Tim.

Guess what he called me today and told me that my car will go to D1 tomorrow and like you I should see it in a month. All in all he was great to deal with.

With all the frustration and the 6 month wait it was nice to actually have an idea of when I will see my car.

Dodge & Tim came through for me.

Thanks!

Glad to hear that! I would like to think Dodge is trying to play catch up and get the process back on track. Hopefully many others will begin to see movement soon!

Hope this letter finds you. Great job on the Challenger Hellcat, I hope your next project is a 68-70 style (2-DOOR) Dodge Charger Hellcat ! That would be awesome. I believe it would get just as much, if not more, attention and sales, as the Challenger Hellcat. Thanks. P.S. Please join, if you haven't already, the best Forum out there, Hellcat.Org
