I traded my Pitch Black 2012 SRT8 392 for the Hellcat.
My back up plan was not to give up my car until the new one came in.
In the event a new Hellcat did not come my way I would keep the 392.
I only had one order from my Trusted dealership.

Back up plan #2 would have been to try and order a 2016 in Fall after another summer with the '12.

B/U plan is buy a 2016 but if Chevy makes something I like(key) that beats a HC then Dodge loses my business. Sick of this crap from Dodge.

My backup plan was essentially "No way out." I sold my modded GWE 392 last August to keep me motivated. I then put an order in with a dealership on 9/9 and entered BX hell, but didn't stop there and kept calling and pestering dealerships in a 13 state area about my interest in getting a Hellcat. The downside to that approach was I had a lot of greedy clowns out there calling me when they first started shipping and offering me one for "only" a 25k markup over MSRP. The upside was I had one that called me a couple days before Thanksgiving with a canceled order and offering it to me. I jumped at it.

I gave up on my order and found a dealer that had one in transit. Wasn't the color I wanted and had way too many options, but it was good enough.
That is what I was just thinking looking at all the Chargers in transit although it was not the color I wanted, but then I thought why give Dodge my business at all. I love my dealer but unfortunately they will be the messenger on this debacle. I started looking at M5's this morning and thinking about going and test driving a Porsche Macan Turbo.
Ultimately I still have my SRT 8 Charger.

My back up plan was a 2015 sublime challenger srt, with A8, such a amazing looking car,, that was the first and only challenger I have ever sat in before buying my hellcat..

my backup plan was to find one on the lot at about 5k over and settle on not getting my exact car (ie maybe not leather seats, or not Pitch black etc)

rocking my 08' Charger SRT till i get my hands on a hellcat. If it contiunes to become a pain in the rear into 2016 orders then ill probably just go buy a viper or covette z06

A Corvette. My dealer/Owner told SRT that every time he called them. Told them they had until the snow melted and the rains come. After that his dealership was a combo dealer and they will easily accommodate their customer with another vehicle made by Chev, and I frankly would have been very happy to make that come true. Happy ending, Hellcat is projected in on March 16 with two more Corvettes! He has a unique black color Z06 with an auto sitting in the showroom now. Makes my knees shake every time I look at it, because it is cheaper than my Hellcat and would not take another $7000 in wheels and tires. That Hellcat better get here!

back up plan is a 2016 cts-v. I loved my 300 srt and really want the charger HC but if Dodge and my preferred dealer can't make it happen that same dealership can make the GM product a reality.

Oh! I forgot about the CTS-V sedan. I talked to Cadillac last week and it can be ordered 7/20/2015 (the day it goes into production)
