I just sold my ‘19 Charger for 5k profit. More than I paid for it brand new. I couldn’t pass up this super rare opportunity to sell a car for profit. I also drive a ‘18 Camaro 2SS.
I’m thinking about ordering a ‘22 Hellcat Challenger. Only if the dealer takes a low down payment to order it. It could take 6 months for it to come in. Who knows.
What a PITA this chip shortage is. Lol..
I’ll only sell my Camaro if or when I buy a Hellcat.

I think they want about a grand to order one. You should definitely get another monster Mopar!

Good for you. I traded my 2019 Scat up to the Hellcat back in February, and got even more than you did hence the trade. As long as you have something else to drive, it's still a seller's market! BTW, thanks for NOT posting "Should I sell..........??????????????" I wonder if those people can get dressed each day on their own. 😁

Mannnn, I already miss that 392 Hemi power though.

But There’s a 6.2L in my Camaro SS. It’s a sports car. It’s like 400 Lbs lighter I think than the Charger. It’s fast too. It would be a close race. They’re both 12 second cars stock.

Lol…there’s literally no leg room in the back seat of a 6th Generation Camaro SS. And I’d assume the ZL1 too
I test drove a ZL1 and i can confirm no room what so ever in the back seat! And to add i was honestly not impressed driving the car, now ill admit i dont know how to really make the ZL1 scream but in track mode it felt slower than my 392. I think Mopars have the fun factor nailed for sure!

I love my Camaro 2SS. But I do miss that 392 power. The Camaro is fast and lighter than my Charger was. I got my Camaro up to 150 no problem. It had a lot left in it. 171 is the fastest I got my Scat Charger. I think they can both do 180. They both have 8 speed auto transmission which helps top speed I think.

I hated having to sell one of them. But I couldn’t pass up this rare opportunity to sell a 2 year car. And get more for it then what I paid. My next car is gonna be a Hellcat Challenger. Hopefully I don’t have to wait too long though. Lol. That chip shortage sucks at least with the new car market.

I must also say I love the new Chargers. But they are a bit too Big. I know they’re a 4 door sedan. But it’s just a really big car. It barely fit in my 2 car garage.

How do you miss the power when the Camaro was actually lighter and faster? The Camaro weighs about a good 300-400lbs less and only has 30 less hp/20 less ft lbs of torque...

As a former 6th gen ZL1 owner, I can tell you that you must have had the car in an eco mode or something, because there is no way you could confuse the two otherwise... the ZL1 will match the Hellcat punch for punch all day, and still turn left/right on a dime...

the mistake i made when test driving a charger the first time was not putting it in sport/track mode. putting it in track mode was the first thing i did in the camaro. the salesman gave me free reign and said he was almost off for the day so take my time and have fun. i tried a few pulls and it was fun but it literally felt just like my charger. On my drive home i remember thinking that it was not impressive and i wasnt missing anything. like i said, i dont think i knew how to really manipulate the torque curve and throttle like i do the charger and thats why i think it didnt feel very fast.

Now lately my thoughts have shifted and im looking to purchase a ZL1 when the time arises because im driving the charger to its limits not mine. I need a car that will grow with me on the track not something that will hold be back. Im thinking the ZL1 will be great platform to build on and also will buy me some time with having a booster seat in the back before i have to start leaving the wife at home! lol

The back seats aren't the greatest to be honest for use, but a booster seat would still be okay in them. The ZL1 is an amazing road driving car, as it's capable of 200mph while still averaging 23-25 mpg on long road trips. For the price, you really can't beat its overall performance from a brand new car aside from the C8 Corvette, and that's purely a 2 seater....

For anyone looking to comment, I'm talking about performance in more than just a straight line... and the ZL1 is equal to the Hellcat and only lacking horsepower to compete with the Redeye/Super Stock/Demon.... if you want a road course car, you couldn't ask for a better complete package with all the performance from a production car.

Dude. First of all the Dodge rates the 392 Hemi at 485 HP. It actually puts out 515. It’s been proven on dynos. Check out YouTube videos. And in sport mode. I think the gearing changed. Feels a lot faster. Like with lower gears.
I still love my ‘18 Camaro 2SS with 450 HP. It’s a sports car. And I’m very happy with the performance but I am gonna eventually sell it for a Hellcat. :)
