We Dodge loyalists got sold out. Ford - and even Toyota - do not believe the automotive future is only EV.

Regardless of what you think of the new Mustang's design, Ford is giving us a powerhouse V8, manual option with tons of new technology for '24 and beyond.
What do we get? Old bits and pieces called "last call" that will allow dealers to gouge customers as they clamor for the bones.
Makes me sick that the once mighty Dodge is melting like a snowflake.
We deserve better.

I'm saying it here first. Don't think they're going to stop baiting and switching us just like they have been for the past 5 years or so.They will keep making the ICE Challengers and Chargers in 2024 and call them Heritage. You thought you had the best with the Demon. Then they come right out with the Redeye (same motor) then Super Sport (same motor) now Jailbreak (same motor). Then screw the Durango Hellcat guys buy announcing another year run... What make us think they won't keep doing this kind of BS to us??

When they find out sales tank with that new stupid EV , they will find a way to make a gas muscle car again , otherwise Dodge will probably go under.
I don't think sales will tank.

Plenty of dopes are all about the EV.
"EVs are faster than ICE. Can't wait to beat up on those guys with mine"
"EVs are green and fast. No need for ICE"
Among other dumb statements I see on bookface.

The smugness of those asshats turns me off to EVs like the douchebags in the 911/M3 world turn me off to Porsches and BMWs.

But look at how many appliances....er basic cars are on the road. People who look at cars as just a tool needed in their daily life and nothing more. How many neglected cars are out there because people don't give a shit.
Now remove oil changes and gas fillups. Eliminate those "crooked" repair shops trying to rip you off!!!

Millions out there want EVs and they want them bad. And if I am being perfectly honest, that Dodge Charger is the best looking one yet (not saying it looks great but that its better than the other EVs being produced right now)

Im normally an early tech adopter, i'm sitting this one out. Because I know how to turn a wrench and make an ICE car run pretty hard. Right now the fastest EV doorslammer is only 8.15. Fastest street one is maybe 8.90. Not really that hard to do anymore.

There's no Super Sport (Super Stock). And all of those models aren't Demons with different names. Theyre a few ponies short, aren't limited/numbered, have no crate, have no trans brake, etc. Yeah theyre close but theyre not the same car.
I agree though about them dropping the ball.

They’ve been doing this since forever. Remember all those rams that came out in the early 2000’s? Rumble Bee, Daytona, GTX, Night Runner, RSC. Nothing more than a nameplate on the center console, brushed or chrome fuel door, some jazzy colors and stickers.

I don't mean to go too deep here but I will say that the hypocrisy of the day is mind bending. Ever seen a photo of a lithium mine leeching field? Know about it's toxicity? When was the last time the government did something that was genuinely beneficial to the people? How many species are deemed extinct and rediscovered every year? I think we need to do a real logical, substantial, unbiased comparison and recognize the benefits and to both positive and negative aspects to them. If there are things we don't know and cannot deduce that needs to be stated. Lack of realism and objectivity is the hallmark of a certain group of prevalent people today. That is not an opinion. It is a verifiable a truth using any number of metrics. Hurry! Someone grab a crystal ball. Oh wait. That's fiction. So let's look to the past and see if there are any recurring themes or things we could learn from. There also might be a likelihood of this being another ploy and cash grab that will go away in a decade or so after tremendous and potentially irreprable damage has been done. But who knows, maybe I'm wrong and the 40ish countries on 4 continents and decades of experience mean nothing. Rant over. Long live the V8. Give me liberty, or give me death. God bless America.

The Supra just got a manual transmission... let that sink in.

Glad I got the Hellcat I wanted, they way I wanted, when I could because the future might be a bit bleak for the Mopar camp.

Here's to hoping the Charger-platform will be fitted with an ICE from the factory.

Don't forget exploding engines! That's what happens when you hire cheapo H1B engineers and/or source parts from China. Wonder which one it is.
