So, these things (my 2022 Charger us at hhe dealership waiting for a new wheel before I can accept deliver), what is the format for recorded music if there is not a CD.

Been looking through as much info as i can find but, not anything about what might take the place of a CD. I am presuming an SD chip but, that is only a presumption..

trying to figure out how to ensure i leave the dealership’s lot with Queen’s "I’m In Love With My Car” blaring. :D

Do you have a smart phone?
Car will play any of multiple music player apps.
yes however, loading 500 CDs and just as many original records onto my phone is the least of last options plus, the added loss of fidelity associated with the RF link…

Was actually hoping a 1TB SD chip could be used.

And not stick out.

Apple Music has a lossless format which takes up more memory..thats what I use because I have a ton o memory more than Ill ever use. maybe that's an option
going to use lossless but not on a koolaid phone. ;)

prefer a flush option, if possible

anyone know the formats readable or, more importantly, where the info can be found? (User manuals online seem to be a bit shy on details)

True dat.
I downloaded many cds back in the day onto my iTunes account.
Now I just pay for Apple Music and make playlists galore.
You can also plug charging cord into USB port to avoid the rf loss a bit.
I don’t have my car yet but do have a grand Cherokee L and it sounds pretty darn good.

why bother with loading all of what you have when you can stream
plus, can you find Angel, ‘White Hot’ or Morphine on soy boy streams? ;)

then there’s Mozart, Braum’s, Metallica, Helix, Styx, …. You get the idea, there’s a lot more out there.

I'm lucky I guess in that I was an early user of iTunes way back when. I have something like 14,000 songs downloaded on my account. When I get a new device, I just DL iTunes and in 2-3 hours all the songs are on that device too :)

But, seriously, the easiest way these days is to use some type of streaming service loaded up on your phone (like Spotify) and use the bluetooth connected smart phone as your music player. There's an option for that in the input settings on the audio screen.

Apple Music has the entire iTunes library available for streaming... I think? Oh, and +1 for Morphine.
