Last week. Drove into the wrong dealership. True story.

...seeing a bunch of Dodge vehicles and the salesman coming up to greet me:

Me: "No offense, I intended to go to the Chevy Dealer."
Sales manager: "that's a 1/4 mile down the road. Can we help you with anything?"
Me: "Nah. Well, you have anything exciting around to consider?"

Feel lucky to have ended up putting down a deposit on a cancelled order for a manual granite challenger hellcat. Have a VIN in D status.

Dealer called me yesterday and said the regional manager told them to expect delivery around end of June. Hoping for the best. Read through some of the comments, and it seems smooth sailing on delivery is not the norm. Happy to take guidance from y'all on how to keep track of the order and not get hosed.

Were you already intending to attempt to purchase a Hellcat, but only ended up at the Dodge sooner than you'd planned. Or were you planning on buying a ZL1, until the salesman informed you that even the best Camaro 'feels slow' after you've experienced the lofty performance of the Hellcat?

Well, to start... Find a brick wall... & perhaps a vice large enough to fit your... If that fails; find a blow torch, chainsaw & Oprah magazine & have a sit for a spell...

I was going to check out the z/28...I was well aware of the HC but I am a drive before you buy type and figured I couldn't find a hellcat that anyone would let me drive so it would have to be a 2016 model at best if I went that route.

Went crazy scouring the boards and haven't found anybody who dislikes their cat. A couple of guys with the manual were reporting that it didn't feel as powerful or fast as expected. Most other people are going with versions of "it's f-ing bonkers."
