Hi all, I was wondering if anyone here is currently running one of the Southern Hotrod "War Viking" ZF8HP90 performance transmission rebuild packages? I am having some issues with my current TCU/TCM tune that need to be fixed and I am wondering if rather than retuning the transmission thru email tunes if it would be better to stick with it till the end of the season and plan on having them rebuild it to War Viking specs and retune it afterwards. I would love to hear any pro/cons from someone that has gone that route.... Also would be interested to hear from anyone who has had Paramount Performance upgrade/rebuild their ZF8. They are pretty similar in price and I think they both do very similar things to both strengthen the transmission and improve the shifting.

I believe Sipple is the go to guy for built transmissions.

With that said I have a SHR HP70 in my truck and it's putting down just under 1000hp and it's held up so far. But I don't drag race it so it's not really getting beat up.
How is it responding on regular driving since you are invested for power and build but not racing it?

How would you describe the drivebility?

It's good, drives like a stock truck around town. Shifts are snappy when I get on it and it seems to be holding the power. I don't launch it from a stop though as it's a 6000 pound truck with 1000 hp and there is only so much the laws of physics will allow.
