Proper punctuation after a period, question mark or exclamation point is to double space before starting the next sentence. I do that on all of my posts but one of the spaces is deleted once it posts on the thread. Can this be fixed so my posts don't look like I'm uneducated?

(I'm betting that my double spaces are deleted from this post as well.)

Thank you,
Dean

I've written that way for so long that it looks strange when I see the missing spaces. Although I don't text much, I'm also old school with my text messages which are completely written out. Don't even get me started on acronyms, lol. ;)

Nothing says your over 40 like two spaces after a period. While originally required with the use of the manual typewriter, after the advent of proportional fonts (in the 80's) this practice is all but extinct. APA now says "recommends" versus "requires" and professors no longer enforce this (ancient) rule. As you can see by my post, old habits are hard to break. Thanks. Well, I guess you won't see, as the site continues to auto-correct.
