You'll have to let us know how they perform.Swapped my front rotors yesterday. Did a side by side pic. Now I know how Speedlogic is so much lighter. And why they should dissipate heat so much better. View attachment 590635
Understand, but with no Brake Dyno Data, one should lean towards Rotor Mass. That's why Dodge made the '21, '22 Rotors slightly larger... a brake enhancement.Lots of great reviews of the demon performance rotors on the forums.
For street use I have no complaints. Many have tracked with them and said they're great.
FYI speedlogix will price match or beat competitors--so sometimes pays to shop around.
The only thing I have in my notes is to not use Porterfield RS-4 pads with the girodisc rotors on the track--one person reported getting red flagged because they were shooting flames.
There's people on here that have logged plenty of track time with them. There are other vehicles that use girodisc rotors also--lots of good reviews. They for sure have half the mean an OE rotor has. How to prove it is just as safe?
Funny thing that you mention Girodisc, notice the box my rotors came fromThere's people on here that have logged plenty of track time with them. There are other vehicles that use girodisc rotors also--lots of good reviews.
The Demon rotors are made by Girodisc. They even have Girodisc on the box when you receive them. There's people on here that have logged plenty of track time with them. There are other vehicles that use girodisc rotors also--lots of good reviews.
So is there any truth that the '21-up cars got bigger brake pads too due to the removal of copper to meet CA specs? I assumed that's why the rotors had to be slightly larger too....they needed more surface area to stop the car like the old pads did....Understand, but with no Brake Dyno Data, one should lean towards Rotor Mass. Damn, that's pretty significant. I don't drag race but for those that do that would make a difference in time slips even. I believe it's something like 10 pounds of rotating mass removed equals close to 100 pounds of weight. Just those two rotors would be like dropping almost 200 pounds off the car. That should be in the description. Not huge for a pig like our cars but in chasing that time slip it would make a difference.Front brembo rotors weigh 31lbs each.
Front DP/girodisc rotors weigh 24.4lbs each.
The DP girodisc hats are not the same as the stock brembo hats--thus they use different rings.
Allegedly it's possible to buy a girodisc ring that does fit the stock hat, but I've not found the listing for them.
Several of the places that sell the DP rotors also sell just the rings.
