So here is my honest review.
I bought the kmember from Alexis at speedlogix. Ordering was easy. She gave me a sale price. I asked all the questions and let her know my mods. She told me "it has more clearence than your stock k member". I did not know these were made to order until I was paid and waiting for it to ship. It took a month and 11 days to be ready to ship FYI. I asked about changing the color since they had to coat it anyways. To get brembo red on the K and engine mounts was a $145 upgrade. I did it, but regret it because IMO their powdercoat guy is hit or miss. I had one of their strut braces have the powder coat crack and fall off, but they did warranty it.
So, a month ago or so, took the car apart and problem 1. They did not supply new bolts for the older style engine mounts and my factory stuff would not work. The bolts that attach engine mounts to block were 1/2" too short with the older style plates. The bottom of the solid "older style" engine mounts use a stud thru the k member, but my 2015 hardware was different. Had to hit two different tractor supply stores to get all the bolts, $70 plus gas and 2.5 hours of my time.
Next, problem 2. My ARH longtubes were hitting the k member by 1/2" or more.
Keep in mind the pics have the kmember hanging by the bolts, not bolted up tight. I contacted Alexis.
Trimmed it enough to fit on and found a guy somewhat local two days later to weld up the chromoly.
That was $160 more, and I had to paint the areas with brush on caliper paint to match best that I could. This guy builds race car chassis and was shocked by the terrible welds and spatter from welding it to hot, said their welds will likely crack at some point. Thought it was terrible work since the threaded areas for sway bar were not even centered in the holes and I had to dremel the metal and tap the holes to make bolts go through. All of this made me feel a little sick to my stomach. Modified pics.
This frustrated me because I was told it had more clearance than stock, and my headers fit great on my stock one. Two days later she got back to me and said their engineer would call me. Two days after that he did. Basically only called for me to send pics to help them on future orders in my opinion lol. He said "we can't make it fit every header", "these are race car parts and race car parts need modded to fit". I asked why the bolt holes were twice as big as the stock k member and was told for adjustment and I would need a race alignment...... ? Asked him about any reimbursements for the welding and hardware, he said he would let Alexis know and she would call me. Never heard back. I will reach out to her tomorrow.
Finally got the kmember in and ran into problem 3. This is fine and I do not consider this big. I had to fab brackets for the power steering lines since their kmember does not have bolt on spots for the brackets.
Problem 4 was next. The alternator support bracket does not have a spot to attach at the engine mount now. AND the bolt hits the frame at this point, so I had to cut it off of the bolt. Made something work for now. I will attach another pic.
Problem 5, all four mounting points have the powdercoat shatter and crack when torqued. More to paint with caliper paint I guess, should have taken bare, but Alexis did not offer a discount uncoated.
Problem 6. My 38mm bmr sway bar now hits the header. Ordered the 35mm bmr bar, and it hits the kmember on the drivers side. Had to shim the bar towards the rear for clearance. Stock bar did clear.
Problem 7. Under engine shields are now zip tied to the kmember tube in far rear. Bolt spots were eliminated.
I felt a little ill today when I looked on their site and they no longer offer this k member ???????
I do not feel like they will stand behind this product if it cracks or something.
Overall, was not pleased with zero kind of instructions and no hardware, especially when your product changes what is required. This leaves a customer hanging when you need grade 10.9 hardware and nobody stocks that in their garage.
Modding for my header and swaybar fitment I understand to a certain point. I asked. I should have been told that they have NO idea because they don't. Instead the generic answer of "more clearence than the stock one."
All the money ($1,200ish) and it cost me an additional $400 in hardware, fab, and time/fuel.
At this point, I am not sure how I feel about recommending this to others.......
