This is the correct answer. With the bad roads, poorly designed road and driveway entrances in our area the splitter is going to scrape sometimes no matter how careful or skilled a driver you are. The splitter guards from the factory only work for on/off car carrier transitions. The splitter guards shown in the picture work.
