Might be a factory oops. But cool if it is.
Do you mean a factory oops for just my car or a series of production cars? I would doubt either and think that all the SS Challenger cars would get the same pass vent id tag and at some point during production it changes to SRT? Just my guess. No idea. Hoping there is logic to it, but who knows?

Don’t know, I was thinking just your car. Saw a new Cobra on the dealer lot that had a mustang rear bumper cover versus Cobra. It was right from the factory.

My December of 2021 built Super Stock has SRT badges on the vents. Looks like you have a factory oops. If you look at the door sticker it will give you the day and time your car went down the line. Was it a friday at 11pm :)

If the correct badge wasn't on hand or the vendor sent the wrong badge they might just build it and let it go. You happened to catch it, most others I would venture to say would not.

I'd leave it alone as it's a cool story but if you complain, I'm sure they'll get the correct one.

They must have pulled the video but there was a YouTube vid where a new dealer Hellcat just off the truck had the Cat badge on the left fender and I swear a Scat Pack Bee badge on the right fender. The guy at the dealer says 100% it was delivered that way and I can believe it.

We also had a Scat Pack on ChallengerTalk that had one valve cover saying Powered by SRT and the other saying 392 HEMI with the latter supposed to be used only on the SRT 392.

So no doubt things happen and while the Company wants them built exactly to spec sometimes calls are made on the line and they just get these cars out of there and if down the road on the chance the customer complains, they'll deal with it then.
