SRT Hellcat test drive.

Hi I am writing from Montreal, Canada

On tuesday November.11th I had the opportunity to drive a Hellcat challenger that was lent from Chrysler to one of my friends to review for a newspaper article, overall the car was phenomenal no complaints at all , it was very fun to drive. This specific Hellcat was a production car that had the Hellcat emblem on the fenders not the supercharged emblems, it was painted the pitch black colour and had the 6 speed manual transmission.

So tell us all about the experience! I have ridden in one while drag racing another...didn't get the luxury of driving it. :(

How did the clutch feel? Was it smooth shifting? Did you find anything difficult to get used to or did it just all work smoothly? Going crazy for details? Any info. Merci beaucoup monsier! ;)

I call his bluff,, off anyone of us got a ride in it, our post would be ten pages long, describing every detail..from pushing the start button, to the heat coming from the hood vents after dying it...

If I were to get a ride in one, or dream of driving one,,I would be writing a book,, explaining how the window rolls down when you lift the handle,, or when you start the car the hellcat shows up in the tft screen. Or how how the exhaust sounds at start up and settles down to a nice rumble,, how the seats fit you oh so perfect..Or how when you shift the car into gear it feels like a old muscle car...now I have never been so lucky to drive one,, let alone start one..so let the people how dream nightly about the car drive it..

My uncle Nick is the one who test drove it, we have a shop that specializes in mopars. We have owned many mopars over the last 44 years from a 1971 hemi cuda to a 1970 hemi challenger and many other Chrysler vehicles. Driving this hellcat was an honor and an experience, Tammie the clutch was a little bit stiff but the shifting was smooth. By the way that's my uncle nick chasing the police.
