Soon... If things cooperate I should have a time Friday.Do I need to add anyone
Did we miss something or who this was directed at?Explain to me how someone with a LOCKED PCM and makes changes that result in LOWERING the shift points to avoid hitting the rev limiter that cannot be changed is considered tuned? In my Opinion Lowering the shift points is not a mod. Unlike changing the air intake/hood to flow more air.
Either way you can put my No Tune time on the list just above yours. I always have had and still have the stock tuned stock hood Super Stock (by your definition) Record. View attachment 593228

NoDoes anyone use the paddle shifter and start in 2nd gear?
does anybody mess with the slapstick after the run to save the brakes and let the car downshift itself?
What’s your best time and technique or you can’t give away your secrets?

Spinning ain’t winningI have been drag racing for 30 years these cars (Modern Mopars) are the easiest I have raced. Like Germansheperd said above just put it in D and go. Now there are some things you will have to be ready for with 800 ponies under your right foot. A lot depends on track condition (surface and ambient).
For instance I raced my 18 SCAT the last few years in two different worlds. One a NHRA awesomely prepped sticky concrete track (National Trail). That track is easy, just point it and go in fact it was so sticky, trying to foot break and get my launch rpms up it would push my front tires. And this is where i ran my fastest times.
Track two was Captain Insano Corn Field Madness (Marion County International Raceway)... The track had very little traction, very little run off, very little rules and literally had bumps and grass growing on it. It was hairy at the big end at 125MPH. More than once i got a little sideways at 330' and puckered greatly. This was with my 392 Scat tuned with a 200HP shot of Nitrous with 315x35x20 NT05rs out back. I cant imagine going down that track in the SS. Luckily its now closed... So no more temptation to go there because for me it was close, cheap and no hassle.
Maybe give it a few runs with the black key to get used to it and lay down some 12's and then once you get the hang, red key in Auto, then a few red key in Sport, then red key in track when you are comfortable.
As you go faster your time to "fix it" before kissing the wall shortens exponentially.
I have kissed walls in my youth in old beater V8s.
just my 2 cents for new racers...
Alright Test and Tune complete add me to the list. Out of about 6 runs i only got it to hook once and that was it. And dear lord I thought i pulled the wheels up off the ground! I have never felt a car squat and launch like that it was glorious.Do I need to add anyone

10.72 @129.4 1.57 60ft (Showroom Floor No tune Stock tires)
Met up with another 21 SS owner and he hit his best of 10.3 stock with skinny's up front and slicks on the back.
Time for tires. It was a beast to try to get the nt05's to hook all my other 60's were 1.9s...
