Hey if you’re happy with it that’s all that counts. My 85 year old grandma can jump in a plaid and mash the gas with no skill. Like I said though if thats what your into and your happy I’m happy for you. Congrats on the purchase

Not really all that different than a SS though on a prepped track and launch control, right? Both are just mash the gas and hold on.

I love my HC but my wifes soon the be Model3 performance will embarrass it on the street. And she takes every opportunity she can to remind me of that. Little does she know I just placed and order for 3.90's and will get my pulley and tune next. Not ready to give up my man card at home just yet 😈

I'd love a S too some day. The regular one is good enough for me. 0-60 in 3 seconds is booking it in a car that size and heavy. Can't imagine how 1.9 feels. The g force has gotta feel like at super coaster as the 3 performance (3.1 also) felt insane.

Can’t fault you a bit at all! Your car is super stealth and that to me is a major appeal. I’m sure it’s a joy to drive so all the best!

And it's used?

Does not compute
The plaid has been selling for 20-40k over sticker since they were released last summer. They have finally started to come down to close to MSRP (used). If you buy new you will be waiting. I realize they are pricey but growing up in the 80's-90's I never imagined owning a very low 9 second car as a daily driver...I remember thinking my brothers WS6 was the king of the streets when it ran a [email protected] in 1997 lololol.

Congrats Abe on your new Plaid.

Does it feel weird driving with the yoke instead of a normal steering wheel? I am used to driving with one hand at 12:00 o'clock so I think it would take some getting used to.

I bet the sensation from the insane acceleration on the street is very addicting.

Thanks! Yes, it does feel diff't but I was a huge Knight Rider fan as a kid...lol. I only drove it for few minutes (i pick it up this morning to bring home) but the power just feels alien...I have owned a few other tesla's over the years but the technology and power on this new one is incredible. I think the car hit's 100mph in 4 seconds flat, so it is fun and very very dangerous at the same time...the thing i noticed about the acceleration in it yesterday was it seems to move faster than I can process in my brain...haha.

If you like it, good for you on the trade. I don’t and never have cared about being the fastest on the street, because, well, one never is. There’s always a faster car. What has always mattered to me is style, and the experience the car provides for me as the driver. The HCWB exactly fit the missing piece in my little fleet. I’ve got nothing against EVs except the styling, and that’s huge for me. Just my personal opinion, but no one makes a good looking one yet. The Tesla Roadster was the closest anyone has come, but it was a converted Lotus. An EV will never replace my Hellcat, but I’d buy one that looked decent to me as an around town runabout. If anyone made a one...

i respect everyones opinion but the way i look at it is i bought the fastest production car ever made, with technology to match...yes they can be a bit boring (since it's so easy to drive fast, no noise etc) but it's still a bargain.

funny part is I was looking at a red 2014 viper as well...haha.

Hmmm, April fools joke? Posted yesterday....
For sure otherwise dumb move in my opinion. I wouldn’t trade the last, possibly greatest muscle car ever made for an electric car that will be commonplace in a few years. If I didn’t have the garage space I wouldn’t be buying $100k+ cars. And I’m not an electric car hater at all.

The SS will probably end up being more rare than a Demon and will be one of those cars you will be bummed that you didn’t keep it in 5 years since you won’t be able to buy anything like it.

I think it’s AF.

Congrats on the new purchase,
I like the idea of EV, but the missing sounds and not being able to Mod one is not appealing to me.
One day an old LS Turbo'd Ford Fairmont rolls up and bust a Plaids A$$, that would be funny and the guy only spent 15K.
Things to Consider!
