Updated on page 3 with what I ordered.

I am thinking pretty hard about trading one of my trucks for either a Super Stock or a Redeye.

I had a redeye and loved it but got a deal on 2019 ZR1 corvette so traded the redeye for it. The ZR1 is a phenomenal car and I love it but I also miss the redeye.

With that all said; I am not sure which way to go on getting another redeye or get a super stock.
Let's hear why you went with one over the other and if you had to do it again would you change your choice?

For those who have driven both; how does the super stock handle compared to the redeye?
How is the stopping in an emergency situation with the super stocks smaller brakes compared to the redeye? Does it feel like the SS still have enough braking to stop quick if needed?

Thanks for any help in helping me make a choice.

Edited to add:
I can get employee pricing through a relative. I had my dealer build both cars the way I would want it and with the employee pricing the super stock is $519 more than the redeye.
This is what makes my decision so hard. If it was 3k difference I would just go with a redeye but at just a little over $500 difference it is a hard choice. With either one I would be getting the car for almost 11k off sticker.

I had the choice and because i’ll never take it to the strip i saved the $3k and got the bigger brakes and better street set up with the RE imo. Love the SS but it just didnt make sense to spend more, get cheaper smaller brakes, and never take it to the strip. I do love the 18’s and taller sidewall old school look though.

If you don't put a ton of miles on your cars and if it matters to you I think the SS may hold higher resale value in the long run due to being more rare. Could be wrong but it's a thought since it's not costing you much on the front end to buy the SS

The only downside to the SuperStock is that it comes with drag radials. So some street tires may be a purchase to consider. The RE could use drag radials for the trips to the strip. So the tire argument is out. LOL
As for smaller brakes they are the Scat Pack brakes which are the 4 piston Brembo's.
Literally the majority of the Challenger's/Charger's/300's have smaller brakes than that. They seem to go through normal life just fine.
The bigger issue for me is I prefer the normal body.
Either car is pretty great so a tough choice.

No way I would get the SS over the RE unless you plan on doing some serious and often racing. The RE is built for racing, too you know. But is also built for street driving. Go with the RE to ensure no regrets later! As usual just my useless opinion.

Agreed. Unless you’re a straight up drag racer, I’d go Redeye for sure.

It sounds like you want the SS, so just get that one. I've got the Challenger Redeye WB, and I wouldn't trade it for any other Challenger. If they're all as good as mine is, you can't go wrong.

If you read my post there are pros and cons for both. One could go with either and have a great car.
The op has a car for handling and mentioned he would go drag racing sometimes.
No where did I mention the RE isn't good at that. The question is does he want to buy street tires for the SuperStock or drag radial for the RE?
For $500 and change more I would probably go for the SuperStock personally.
The OP can't go wrong with either imo.

Redeye unless you want the extra couple tenths at the strip. I prefer stopping, cornering, and a top speed of 203 vs a couple extra tenths I might see at the strip. I’ll take a 10.8 car that does everything well, over a drag race special that goes 10.5 and does not like stopping as much.
