I can't tell you without research but I always look at % spent on "administration costs" and % spent on actual cause. I'm happy to donate to help, but not to finance "executive retreats".

Best bang for your buck is the Salvation Army. It has the lowest adm cost of all of them. The Red Cross and United Way suck.

I just donate to what I believe is a good cause. My wife’s family has been a recipient of the good deeds of St Jude’s, so that where our money goes (some of it).

Wife and I donated at one time, now we get constant requests in mail EVERY day! I'm done with it all now just from the harassment. I'm sure there are good causes but they are all so irritating sending me letters, socks, flags etc. They spend untold $$ on mailings.

Shriners for sure. I could never pay back all the work they did on my sons hip and never charged us a dime.

Check out Tunnel to Towers, they are rated 98.23 out of 100 and 100% for transparency, they are a great organization for cops and Military personnel.
