The new Direct Connect Stage 2 kit requires 100 octane gas. E85 has an octane rating between 100 and 107. Being that E85 is cheaper and easier to find than 100 octane gas are the 2 fuels interchangeable?
E85 requires roughly 30% more fuel volume to achieve the same AFR, the direct connection tune won't account for E85s stoich value so it would just run lean. You'd also need bigger injectors. So no, you can't just use E85 unfortunatelyThe new Direct Connect Stage 2 kit requires 100 octane gas. E85 has an octane rating between 100 and 107. Thank you. I was hoping the tune would see the need for the added fuel and the dual line fuel system would just be dialed up for the demand.E85 requires roughly 30% more fuel volume to achieve the same AFR, the direct connection tune won't account for E85s stoich value so it would just run lean.
