So.... I've owned my 2016 Hellcat challenger for about three years and never touched it. It has a hair over 40k miles on it only been to the track one time. Once covid hit I was presented with an opportunity to work at a diesel shop as a tech working on big rigs. Since I am a disabled combat veteran this is little of a challenge because everything is heavy. However, I am doing well, and everything is extra money. Few weeks ago, driving to work my clutch coming into first gear started to have this chatter. Very strange and didn't really make any sense. it's not the clutch or the plate probably the throw-out bearing but since we have to drop the trans anyway might as well replace both. Hence the rabbit hole of mods. I went with the Mcleod RXT 1000 clutch kit, and the tilton 6000 series throw out bearing. figured since the drive shaft was already out might as well upgrade that too. Ordered a DSS aluminum driveshaft. Went with this because the real benefits from carbon fiber I probably won't see not going to upgrade that much. I plan on doing the HHP dual pump fuel pump and the ID1050X injectors.
I am really torn on the pulley. I cannot decide between the 2.85 and the 2.75. Also, I am having a hard time with tuning between Diablo and HP Tuners. I understand the difference being what shop you want to go to is the biggest factor but with the remote tuning that goes out the window.
Are there any mods that I am completely overlooking?
Is there anything i should consider?
I know this community is very strong I am looked at these forum pages a lot over the past 3 weeks.
If anyone has any tips and tricks, they learned please share them!!
Also, if anyone has any sites that are military friendly also a plus. Even more so if there might be a company that tunes that is veteran owned.
Thanks again!

I would combine that 2.85 with a 10%OD ATI lower, or just run the 2.75

Open the air box for more airflow with an aftermarket intake.

I actually have one for sale that needs a new hellcat home.

Is it only for 2015-16 models?

Hey, you don't need fuel pumps for a 2.85 pulley. For tuning, there are a few options depending on what goals someone has.

1. hemifever tuning: I had them do my tune when the car was stock, both pcm and tcm tune. Turn around time was super quick, affordable, etc. He sent me the tune, I loaded it up and drove around and sent a log back to him just for him to verify. Car went from running 7.48 to 7.24 in the 1/8 at 5500 DA with MT ET Street SS tires. I think this is a good route for someone who isn't an all out track guy.

2. Then there's like what HHP does, where they send you a tune, and then you log and then just verify it, and they will also add another race gas tune in. But it's about twice the money as hemifever.

3. This is the "best" way, at least for those who are more hardcore as far as hitting the track a lot. Barth tuning, for example, they tune your car in one day when you are at the track. You run it, then send the log, then run, send the log, etc, and dial it in and it's all done in that one day. I am going to do that the next time I have upgrades that require a new tune (this would be a ported snout, for example, if I eventually do that). This third option is the best in terms of maximizing performance, but I think it's overkill for the occasional drag racer, imho. There are others besides Barth, just used them as an example since I have talked to them about it.

That's how I would break it down.

I would just go with a 2.85 upper, spacer plates and heat blanket and the injectors. You can use the stock belt with that combo, too. You will be very traction challenged with a manual and street tires anyway.

I'd also get the DIRS diff brace and you ordered the driveshaft so that's good. If you ever plan to put a race tire on it and give it the beans at a track you will be ready to go. Manual cars are very hard on parts. If I were going to track a manual car a lot, I'd for sure do axles, as well.

YMaybe give an idea of how you plan to use the car. Street car, occasional test and tune, or racing regularly, etc. For a street car, I'd do the spacers, blanket, 2.85 lightens pulley, injectors, and hemifever pcm and tcm tune.
