What's interesting is that the trap speed of 133 doesn't match the ET 10.48 and for a car to gain 7 mph it has to come from somewhere, more to come on this Friday I would guess....

Lee the mph still doesn't match the ET nor does the increase in mph add up to using slicks.. usually to gain mph there has to be an increase in HP , 7-8 over the 125 that looked repeatable in other test as to come from something...

In this high-tech motor, the timing is adjusted to optimize, based in part on fuel quality, so if a crappy 87 octane is put in, the timing would be retarded to minimize ping/detonation. (In the old days, the owner had to adjust the timing himself, but these newer cars have computers to do it fast & painlessly!) Thus, I would suspect that with the high octane racing fuel, the computer was able to dial in more advance than a car with regular pump gas would permit, and, combined with the stickier tires allowing the power to reach the pavement with minimal wheelspin, the results are plausible, and impressive.

When the temperature is cold you want to add fuel when racing, we also add more 109 to the 93 fuel as the air is more dense, still a back half gain of 27mph there appears to be more going on. For every .10 lower in the 60 will net you .2 in ET, but the 133 works out to an ET of 10.2 to 10.0 which there is no way possible given the weight of the car and the HP it has.....

What I'm implying is that it looks suspicious, we have enough data in place on challengers that race that the numbers don't add up, I can see a better 60 having an effect on the ET, but the mph would not have changed 7 , usually that takes more HP from some where, all things are possible so we shall see today as I'm sure people will be looking hard and if other cars can equal this number.

Look up track on FB videos will be posted and details on both the stock and modified car they're running again today and shootin for times in the 9's
I think the fact that they are supposedly looking for 9s strongly suggests that they've added power-adders to the car. They're likely going to go a little further down the same path they took to get the 10.4. I'm excited either way... What a great car. I hope Dodge takes notes about the driveshaft and beefs it up some more.

I wonder if it is a pre-production car like in the picture? Maybe they are pre-reflash and bs emissions hp blocking our babies! :D

This is something I have been asking on all our cars, if the re flash changed the ET and cars would be going slower, not faster. One thing for sure is the drive shafts are going to be needing an up grade if the cars are raced with racing tires....

One other thing, if the car is using nitrous you won't hear about it, that warranty will be voided ASAP now that it's in the limelight....
