It does with a 6200 rpm shift point.
So this car will trap 130+ just by shifting at 6200 rpms???

Nooooooooooooooooo, 200 rpm is not enough alone to gain 100 hp plus

No, given the conditions at the track, the race fuel, tires used, shift points for 5 gears at 6200rpm, a 133mph trap is a possibilty.
I still say no, he will need more Hp to get there and the 200rpm is not enough, post a car that has done it?

I agree TC. I can get ET down with slicks and altering shift points but MPH is always around the same on my SS.
The gearing in the A8 is very favorable for a mph increase between 6000 vs 6200 rpm. Even on the 392 with 5-speed, a change from 6,000 to 6,400 rpm netted +3-4mph in the trap.

For the Hellcat, a 6200 rpm shift point puts the 4th gear shift at around 118 mph (6200rpm) vs 111 mph (6000rpm).

It also places 5th gear between 4700-4800rpm (6200rpm shifts) vs. 4300-4400rpm (6000rpm shifts) which is the final gear completing the 1/4mi.
No way a stock Hellcat does 130 mph or more. I'd love to be wrong but I'm not.

The auto Hellcat crosses the 1/4 in 5th gear???!!! All this time I thought it was 4th!! Wow, that explains a lot also. My Shelby crosses in 3rd and 3rd tops out at OVER 130mph
On on the same plane as others who feel a car that traps 125-127 mph stock, doesn't trap 133 with just DR's.
DR's usually will lower ET's and often lower ET's result in equal or lower trap speeds, as car has LESS time to accelerate.
So the fact this car lowered it's ET by several tenths over what Dodge's own pro drivers were able to accomplish, and also gain 6-8 mph trap speeds over what many other tests of these cars have accomplished means to me, there was more than just DR's on that car.

On another note, I've only had my car for 12 days, and now have 525 miles on it. I have yet to floor it or run it to redline, but all reports have peak power at 6000 rpm and same with redline. But on my tach, the redline shows it starts at 5750?
Is this adjusted digitally when the car reaches a certain mileage point, or why does my tach show 5750 as the redline?
From the dyno charts I have seen it keeps making power right up till it hits the limiter.
True redline is 6250 and it makes power all the way to that redline. When redline was raised to 6400 on a tuned car, it still made power as the RPMs went up. You need to shift manually to rev higher than 6000, though.

Why Dodge chose to start the redline at around 5750, I have no idea...
I know a stock z06 on drags just ran a 10.3 at 131 so it's actually possible

I would like to see that

I saw Donald Duck trap 133, so what's the point?
z06 traps 126 127 and on a tire it went up 4mph. That's my point thank you.
Watch "zo7Atco 006" on YouTube
zo7Atco 006:

ATCO is well known to run fast. Their trap speeds always seem to be 1-3 mph higher than others. I haven't checked or been there, but I've heard reports that it has a slight decline too, but still within NHRA variance. So take ATCO times with a bit of grain of salt, at least, you can't compare ATCO times to most other tracks, as again, times there seem to be a bit faster than you'd get at most other NHRA certified strips.
The last time I looked we were talking about hellcats, take that POS vette to the Cheby sites.............
TC
Last time I checked I was pointing out that the 10.4 run is possible and posting a video of a car with similar traps doing the same thing.
Didn't you just get run off the YB
