Stolen Redeye Dallas

13060 Views 138 Replies 52 Participants Last post by  Spartacus
Hi Folks--just posting for the first time unfortunately. On Friday (27 May) had my 21 Redeye Chally stolen from parking garage at the Westin in Las Colinas. Tried getting Sirius Guardian to give police the location but Irving police don't seem that interested in finding it. Garage had video and the thugs were in two chargers.

If you're in the Dallas area could you all please keep a lookout for it?

It's Smokeshow and all stock except for clear bra and kept the yellow chin guard on it. License plate was at the time PFN-1636.

Thanks a lot.

I've heard if you install one of these: www.ravelco.com there's no way your car can get stolen.
Their website claims no car has ever been stolen with their system installed.

Other than parked away from eyes and ears of people awake, anything else tp prevent or slow thieves down (Tailhappy cover, Club, debadged, etc)?

and i am truly sorry to hear about. Been wanting to take a week long trip to CO and ID but daumn how these stories open my eyes.

So sorry to hear. I live in the Dallas area. I will keep an eye open for Your Hellcat. I am always looking to see what type Challenger and Chargers go by.
Unfortunately I have not seen any that have been recovered in their original condition.
Total heartbreak.
Hang in there.
Sorry bro…I hate hearing that! I had rather it never be found if stolen instead of getting it back from some thug who dogged it out!
Hopefully your insurance is of a quality covered umbrella and they do you right.

Well nothing makes it impossible. Especially when you can push or drag them. Multiple videos on here where they push them out in the road by hand and hook a tow truck to them. But it should help prevent the average thief!
When the Durangos first came out one was stolen from an employees driveway..and 3 were taken from the Holding Lot at the factory.....
It's happening EVERYWHERE. The secret of how easy it is to take these vehicles is out.
If not outright theft, the vehicles with lots of ground clearance are having the cats taken.
The dealer that I bought from said EVERY TRX they sold either was stolen, an attempt was made or the cats were taken.
A rash of armed carjacking has occurred in the GTA lately too. Dunno what vehicles are involved but damn...
Yeah, all crazy stuff with how easy it is. Really thought being in a hotels garage with lights and cameras it would be a deterrent but guess now. Makes me wish we could just go back to old school physical keys.

You parked your Redeye in a parking garage and were expecting a different result? Wow.
Why do you feel the need to post negative, preachy, provocative comments on these stolen car threads? What are you adding here?

That royally sucks. My daughter and I are taking a trip to OKC for the college world series (her dream is to play college ball) and this is just justification of why I was scared off of taking my HC on that trip. It's by far the most comfortable on trips and actually gets good gas mileage on the highway. The thought of parking it overnight for 3 days in a hotel just didn't sit well with me after seeing thread after thread like this. Really sucks that the criminals have taken the fun out of owning cars like this and enjoying them for more than day cruises. Guess we'll take the Jeep or Tesla...

it’s called "asshattery."

typically a sign of a person with [very] low self esteem, low intelligence, and the professional skillset of a jackass.

when ignored long enough, they go away butthurt while blaming others for their personal demise.

common sense isn’t so common comes to mind a lot here. You can hand out participation ribbons if you like.

Definitely will help, unless they load it up. There is a couple threads on here about revelco and kill switches. Will also give you some insight on how they are easily stolen. Use search, "kill switch".
This is the sad reality of today, these cars can't be parked anywhere overnight except in your garage.

Could be. I volunteer at a homeless shelter twice a month. I have to go around back and throw a bucket of water on the crackheads to separate them. Must be you because you get mad at me and are always behind the dumpster.

Cameras dont stop them, they just wear masks
