I posted about this in my other thread. Stumbled across the Tazer update in a TRX forum. So yes, seems legit. The info on that forum is coming from BrawlerFab a Tazer distributor that also does custom fab for the TRX. Which brings up the point @2ndgen makes. For the TRX, that distributor is also making a lock box/bracket/thingamajig. I've asked if A: the update is good for Challengers on the regular Tazer and if 2: BrawlerFab would do a lock bracket thingy for said ChallengersAnyone seen this? Work Play Drive seems pretty reputable. I subscribe to this guy's YouTube channel and usually find his advice and recommendations reliable.
BrawlerFab is also on these forums. Maybe he can answer some questions about it here. @-Boosted-I posted about this in my other thread. Stumbled across the Tazer update in a TRX forum. Glad to see this could be real with the Tazer
Unless they discovered a way to add new behavior to the factory computers, then yes, the Tazer would have to be plugged in for these features to work. Not all features of Tazer require it be plugged in. Did it specifically mention this will only work that way (believe they call it Live features).
Right some things have to be ran from the Tazer itself. Others get enabled in the BCM by turning flags on or off.Unless they discovered a way to add new behavior to the factory computers, then yes, the Tazer would have to be plugged in for these features to work.
I agree. 10 minutes to reset PIN makes no sense. I hope they rethink this. I would not make it permanent but make it an hour or two or some other solution that is not defeated in 10 minutes. This looked pretty good until they said the PIN could be reset. Yeah it takes 10 minutes, but in some cases that won’t be much of a deterrent. They should make erasability optional. And as already stated, the potential for physical removal is an issue. This could be useful in tandem with something like a Compustar I suppose.
Or require it be connected to a computer out of the car to reset.Definitely interested if the reset function was longer, more agreeing with the 1-2 hour reset.
Excellent ideaOr require it be connected to a computer out of the car to reset.
And have the user set the desired duration…1, 2, 24 hours, etc. I like the computer option.Or require it be connected to a computer out of the car to reset.
