Hey guys. What are some definite mods to help launch and hook on the street? I want to just hook and go better strictly for the fun of it. I have learned to modulate the throttle pretty good on my Super Stock. Just seems like there should be a good way to get more consistent street launches maybe with some additional bolt ons or something. I know there are many variables on the unprepped surfaces of the street. But what can you do to just spin a bit less and hook better? Tires and rims, control arms, diff braces, or what? Looking for the surest, most obvious approaches. Thanks for any and all input.

Michelin PS4S tires. That's all you need. DRs on the street are kinda bad.

Tazer ZAutomotive now has a brake launch button feature. Similar to the Demon's trans brake, the Tazer can use the steering wheel Aux buttons to hold all 4 brakes with the button instead of the brake pedal. When you release the button, the brakes release.

The SS acts a good bit different than its Hellcat/RE cousins.
You can start with the P4D stuff and the 17" wheels and DR's.
I think you'll find that will work really well for you.

I'm the most inconsistent driver I know. These aren't technically legal for street but they sure do grab better for me. They don't rub or touch anywhere and I have a lot of time on them now.

A 18 DR is much better than a 20 Michelin in a straight line on a dry road... some bias opinions and not facts out there.

On same size rim as that makes a difference.

I have a tazer but it is still locked to my scat pack that I traded in. I can pay $50 to have it unlocked, just curious if you tried this out yet and if its any different than just foot braking the car.

Haven’t tried. Looking for more of the best “parts” for launching. But thank you!

Came with update 2.5.3 that was released 2/16

Line lock is still SET+

SET- becomes brake launch

Problem is if you have esc turned off it comes back on soon as you launch. Traction control too obviously

I did inserts. Poly will give you some NVR .
Aluminum will definitely give you every bump on the road and NVR.

Not worried bout NVR. Especially if she is only 12-14. When they hit 45 or 50 maybe? 🤔

Not sure if the race brace actually helps hold the housing together? And certainly not without doing alum diff lockout. Doubt dude needs that for street use anyways. Hard to hook on dirty street. Also op R’s get flat spots if you don’t drive daily and won’t last long if you do : )

Also op, I believe there is traction to be had by getting more of this things weight to the rear. Might wanna look into removing rear coil spring top dampener and putting heater hose (search that) or adjustable coil overs etc.

I ended up paying way too much and waiting way too long for what I’m doing with the back of mine but I am gonna bracket race it summit series. Prepped track we race on chemicals. Totally different than asphalt street

I just paid the $50 to unlock my tazer. This function seems to work 100% better than the factory launch control, well worth it. Can actually boost it past 1200 rpm without breaking the rear tires loose.
