I had the dealer work up an order sheet for a SRT Durango and stripes were no longer an available option. Anyone ordering a car recently have the same problem? I thought that was a weird thing to run out of.

Consider it a blessing! You can get after market strips 50-75% lower than factory installed strips.
They briefly stop offering Orange calipers on the Charger HC, but now it seems to be back. 🤷‍♂️

Not really, just had OEM redline stripes but on the Durango Hellcat. You might save 25% but the OEM stripes are much better quality than simple vinyl.

Probably not a shortage, rather they figure the time wasted installing stripes could be put to better use.

Salesman said that there are random options that are no longer available. It is driving them nuts. I just figured they are eliminating options for things they cannot get. Thought stripes was a strange one though.

I heard a bunch of Durango Hellcats are sitting at the upfitter waiting to get stripes. It’s causing delivery delays by several weeks. Not sure if it’s an actual supply delay or labor issue.

My HCDD has been stuck in JB status for 10 weeks because of a stripe!

Sorry I added it! Just another option in clicking away when pricing out the car.

My take is simple… there are several upfitters that do the stripe and most likely a labor shortage.
Are the vendors unionized? Probably not!
Then what incentivizes a person to earn $15 or so an hour when the government in that state is still paying people to stay home?

Stripes on Challenger and Charger are done at Brampton so less delays for them.

Hood pins were dropped for some Scat Pack models maybe to lessen the Upfitter backup.
